Fragrance Friday: Oscar de la Renta’s Bridal Ambition
Oscar de la Renta’s bridal confections are the stuff that wedding belle dreams are made of, and now the designer is tapping into those matrimonial traditions for his newest scent, Something Blue. But if you think it’s reserved for ladies who just got a ring on it, think again! De la Renta wanted to incorporate the excitement of exchanging vows into a scent that could be worn beyond the altar. According to Women's Wear Daily, The white floral fragrance opens with a sparkle of linden blossom and mandarin and moves into a heart of stephanotis (a white flower used in wedding bouquets). Even the bottle captures the essence of the scent and de la Renta’s heritage as the cap was inspired by a stone called Larimar that is only found in his native Dominican Republic with the box featuring lace fabric he’s used in past designs. Whether you’re picking out a wedding gown or simply sprucing up before stepping out into the spring sun, you can share the same feeling of happy excitement!
