Golden Globes 2014: Olivia Wilde Serves Mermaid Chic

Olivia Wilde let her baby bump do the talking on the Golden Globes red carpet as she shimmered in a green sequined Gucci gown. The mommy-to-be-maintained the sultry siren theme with luxurious mermaid waves and smoldering makeup, courtesy of hairstylist Lona Vigi and makeup artist Melanie Inglessis. Who says you can’t be sexy when you’re expecting?

Vigi began the haute hair look by prepping Wilde’s wet strands with Oscar Blandi’s Oil Serum on the ends to protect and add shine. She then applied the Lacca Hairspray at the roots for volume and the Pronto Dry Heat Protect Spray for added protection. She created a deep side part and blow dried with a round brush to create body and movement before spraitzing the hair with the Pronto Texture & Volume Spray. Vigi then curled all of the hair with irons of different sizes (3/4 to 1 ½ inches) for added texture. Next, she sprayed the Pronto Invisible Spray on the roots and all over for added body and shine before sealing the style with a final blast of the Lacca Hairspray.

Inglessis opted to complement the dress’s sexy silhouette with a purple smoky eye that would make her peepers pop. She started by priming the skin with Revlon’s Perfecting Primer before evening Wilde’s tone with the brand’s Photoready Makeup. To enhance her pregnancy glow, Inglessis blended the Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator in Bare Light and Peach lights before adding a gentle flush to the cheek with the brand’s cream blush in Pinch and Powder Bronzer in Bronzilla. For the eye, she first lined the top and bottom lashes with the PhotoReady Kajal Liner in in Purple Reign. She then primed and crafted the smoky eye with the Photoready Primer and Shadow in Muse (very fitting, right?) before finishing the eye with a few swipes of mascara and a brow fill. She kept her lip look natural and shiny by layering the Ultimate Suede in Private Viewing under the Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Super Natural.
