Greg Lauren for Barney’s New York, the Outfit Equivalent
Our editorial director Bianca—perhaps you remember her? She has a Zara shoe addiction and a penchant for sporting “the model off-duty” look?. She recently nabbed a bottle of Greg Lauren for Barneys New York, which is the New York-based actor slash painter’s first fragrance. Lauren teamed up with perfumer Ralf Schwieger on the combination of tonka beans, vanilla, and marine notes that make up his unisex scent.
And it smells amazing. Considering the fact that Schwieger previously worked on scents including Hermes Eau de Merveilles and Yves St. Laurent Baby Doll, which are two of my faves, I was expecting nothing less. As we passed the bottle around, each of us took a whiff and commented how good it smelled, I immediately was inundated with visions of chunky sweaters, leather skirts and over-the-knee boots, topped off with a cape. Maybe a muff, too.
Basically, this is the fashion version of Fragrance Friday, and it looks a little something like this:
T by Alexander Wang Chunky-Knit Cotton-Blend Cropped Sweater, available at The Out for $110.40
Mod Money Chandelier Earrings, available at Kate Spade doe $98
