Karl Lagerfeld is heading down south for his next Metiers D’Art show for Chanel. During a an interview with Bridget Foley during Women’s Wear Daily’sCEO Summit, the designer revealed that he would like to host ones of his shows in Dallas, Texas. He wanted to take the show in a different direction after last year’s spectacular in Scotland. He also wanted to show his appreciation of Neiman Marcus, which is based out of Dallas, for its support of Chanel’s reopening after World War II. “When Chanel reopened, the French press was beyond nasty,“ he explained. “The only press that understood it immediately was the American press. So I think it’s a nice thing to go there.” Given Lagerfeld's fantastical fashion shows, we’d love to see him make his collection a little more country, a little less rock ‘n’ roll.
