Naughty or Nice? MAC and Urban Decay Make You Decide

ONE OF CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST SAM FINE'S MOST REPEATED QUOTES IS, – “makeup is a personality.” He means there’s no right or wrong way to enhance your beauty, it’s up to you. But makeup also allows you to create the appearance you want. It gives you choices, and that’s where the real personality gets to shine. Red lip and smoky eye, or a clean face with a soft pink lip? Naughty, or nice? The choice is yours. Two of the hottest new makeup collections let you be one or the other, all while paying homage to classic characters you remember from your youth.

First up Urban Decay, which has partnered with Disney to create a dazzling collection for the upcoming film Oz the Great and Powerful. The movie debuts on March 8. The makeup palettes are available now at The Glinda Palette includes beautiful sparkly pastel shadows and a universally flattering pink Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color pencil, befitting of the good witch. The Theodora Palette is mysterious and dark and comes with a hot red lip color pencil – the wicked witch would totally approve.

MAC’s latest collection celebrates cartoon history. Archie Comics made their debut in 1942, and the characters have become American icons in their own right. Who didn’t want to be Betty, or Veronica? Now you can embody their characters with inspired cosmetics. Betty is all pastels and pinks, sweetness and light. The standout lipstick in her collection is called Girl Next Door. Veronica’s collection is about deep black pigments with sparkles, vivid purples, and her standout lipstick is a sexy noir purple called Boyfriend Stealer. We might be on Team Veronica! The collection hits NYC on January 31, and then will be released nationally on February 7.
