#NYFW CorrellCorrell F/W 2012

CorrellCorrell's German twin designers Daphne and Vera Correll are among seven designers and teams who were honored with a renowned 2012 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award — the same accolade that catapulted Alexander Wang, Costello Tagliaietra, CUSHNIE ET OCHS, Zac Posen, and Richard Chai in years past. With eight weeks max to craft a collection for fashion week, the Correll twins produced 19 looks for their Fall/Winter collection. CorrellCorrellhas been based in New York City for the past six years, and the stylish pair behind the namesake line say the one word that best describes their post-EDFF culmination is opposites. The duo played with opposing textures, hues, and materials to meld otherwise unexpected pairs into fluid designs. Burgundies and midnight blues weaved in and out of casual, loose-fitting knits that the twins designed. Seamless mixes of silk merino and boucle knits, mohair and metallics, ombre and appliques added facets to the delicate looks and produced wardrobe staples that can be layered, mixed, and matched countless times.
