Pop the Bubbly! 8 New Year’s Eve Cocktails to Ring in 2014


There’s nothing like toasting to the start of 2014 with a flute full of bubbly. While we don’t mind a glass of prosecco, there’s no reason you can’t you can’t jazz it up. Give one of these recipes a sip as you sing “Auld Lang Syne” and receive your midnight kiss. Happy New Year!

Pineapple Champagne Cooler

2 oz. ZICO Pineapple
1 ½ oz. Pineapple Vodka

Pour ZICO Pineapple and Pineapple Vodka into a champagne flute, top off with Prosecco. Garnish with a wedge of Pineapple.

Sparkling Estate Diamond

1 ½ oz. Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum
3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Honey Syrup
Sparkling Wine

Combine rum, juice and syrup over ice and shake for 15 seconds. Fine strain into a chilled champagne flute, and top with sparkling wine.

Midnight Kiss

1 oz. Skinnygirl White Cherry Vodka
2 oz. Skinnygirl Prosecco
Frozen cherry

Pour champagne into flute, top with vodka and garnish with one frozen cherry.

Haru’s Berries & Bubbles

2 oz. Svedka Raspberry
½ oz. strawberry schnapps (or strawberry liqueur)
3 oz. prosecco
Fresh strawberries

Muddle the strawberries in a cocktail shaker before adding the Svedka and strawberry schnapps over ice. Shake and strain into a flute, top with the prosecco, and garnish with a strawberry.

Sparkling Mule

2 oz. EFFEN Vodka
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
3 oz. Ginger Ale
2-3 slices of Fresh Ginger

In a mixing glass, muddle ginger and simple syrup. Add fresh lime juice and vodka and shake with ice. Fine strain into a tall glass over ice. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with a sugar cane stick.

French 75

2 oz. Beefeater Gin
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)
Lemon Peel

Add all the ingredients except the Champagne to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a flute. Top with Champagne and garnish with a small lemon peel.

Fall Fizz Ambiance

6 oz. Ruffino Prosecco
1/2 oz. Apple Brandy
Small scoop Cranberry Puree

Stir the Apple Brandy and Cranberry Puree over ice. Strain into serving glass. Top with 6 oz Ruffino Prosecco. Serve in a Coupe or Champagne Flute and garnish with a Cranberry Skewer.

Bramble by Johnny Swet

½ oz. Lemon Juice
1 ½ oz. Gin
½ oz. Crème de Mure
½ oz. Raspberry Liquor
Black Raspberry Fruit Water

In a tin shaker, add the lemon juice, gin, Crème de Mure, and raspberry liquor. Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass and top with chilled black raspberry fruit water. Garnish with a sunken blackberry.
