The next time you see Sarah Jessica Parker on the silver screen, it won't be for a fourth installment of Sex and the City. Instead, she's flexing her acting skills for another rom-com of sorts, in which she trades the bustling streets of Manhattan for the cobblestone roads in Rome.
Her new project, All Roads Lead to Rome, began shooting in Italy last week. The film finds Parker in the as an "uptight Maggie" who recruits her Italian ex (Raoul Bova) to go on a road trip and track down her "rebellious teenage daughter," according to The Hollywood Reporter. AMBI Group, which is producing the pic, has inked deals with buyers in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Latin America and Eastern Europe to secure its worldwide distribution.
“We’ve been looking for a very commercial romantic comedy to add to our slate and immediately knew we found exactly what we were looking for when we read All Roads Lead to Rome," AMBI executive Andrea Iervolino told Variety, before coining the film "a perfect vehicle” for Parker.
