Style Scoop: Karlie Kloss Wears Warby Parker, Who Wants to Buy Toms, Yves Saint Laurent’s Return to Power


Cara Delevingne isn’t the only model adding designer to her résumé lately. In between studying at Harvard and cooking up gluten-free treats, Karlie Kloss celebrated her collaboration with Warby Parker! Kloss’s sunnies are available today and include six-limited edition styles that will retail for $145 to $195. Some of the proceeds will go to The Edible Schoolyard Project, an organization that builds gardens and kitchen classroom in the city’s public schools. [The Cut]

This is interesting: Toms Shoes is reportedly in the early stages of preparing to sell its business. If sold, the charitable company could go for as much as $600 million. No word on how soon the deal is expected to happen. [Fashionista]

There is another Yves Saint Laurent biopic on the horizon, but this is one unlike any you’ve seen before. Titled Saint Laurent, the film will focus on the designer’s life between 1967 and 1976. “We weren’t interested in showing how Yves Saint Laurent became a genius,” director Bertrand Bonello said. “We wanted to show what it cost him every day to be who he was, and that’s why at the beginning of the film, he is already a star.” The film made its debut at Cannes Film Festival and will hit French theaters on October 1. In her latest fashion revelation, she champions that the Champs-Elysèes in Paris is now about mixing high-end designers with fast fashion retailers like Zara. “Then the thought hit me: the Champs-Elysèes today is not really about a return to haute-luxe,” she wrote. “It is rather a ringing affirmation that high and low co-exist in today’s consumer world.” [British Vogue]

eBay no longer wants to be considered just an auction site.
