Style Scoop: Shop Vintage Chanel at Nasty Gal, Ai Weiwei’s Fashionable Paint Project, Marco Zanini Is Leaving Schiaparelli

Do you hear those Christmas bells ringing? We do, and they sound kind of like Chanel. Just in time for our holiday shopping (and wish list-making), Nasty Gal has gathered a collection of rare vintage Chanel pieces to go on sale on Monday, November 10. While there are items that seem relatively unnecessary, like a rich red Chanel umbrella and a Chanel sweatband set, the double C’s kind of make it all worth coveting. [Vogue]

For the latest issue of V magazine, things got kind of messy. Artist Ai Weiwei staged a photo shoot involving clothes from Dover Street Market’s emerging designers and a whole lot of colorful paint. It sounds more painful than it looks, considering clothes from lines like 1205, Jacquemus, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Baumeister, KTZ, Melitta Baumeister and Phoebe English were completely ruined—but the images Weiwei caught on camera are pretty spectacular. It’s confirmed: Marco Zanini will be departing Schiaparelli after serving only one year as the couture house’s creative director. Schiaparelli confirmed the news on Friday, adding that a new creative director will be announced “soon.” Stay tuned. [Women’s Wear Daily]

St. Regis Resorts & Hotels recently announced a collaboration with Jason Wu, and it’s already on to its next one. The resort chain tapped Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig as “St. Regis Connoisseurs.” The pair will create one-of-a-kind bridal gowns exclusively for St. Regis that will be inspired by the brand’s urban and resort destinations. The wedding dresses will debut spring 2015. [Women’s Wear Daily]

Cole Haan partnered with Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings for a soulful and spirited holiday season. If their exclusive performance of the holiday classic White Christmas doesn't make you smile, then we don't know what will. Well, maybe a new pair of shoes will do the trick? Head to Cole Haan for the opportunity to donate to 826 National when you purchase a pair of shoes. [Glam Inbox]
