Pack your EZ Pass because the Video Music Awards are moving to Brooklyn!
MTV has just announced that its 30th annual awards show will be hosted at the Barclays Center, according to The Hollywood Reporter. To tease the announcement, the network had its Instagram and Twitter followers track the Moonman’s journey from last year location at L.A.’s Staples Center all the way to the front steps of Brooklyn’s new stadium.
The VMAs have traveled to different venues throughout the years, mostly sticking between Los Angeles and New York with Las Vegas in 2007 and Miami in 2004 and 2005.
As this year already marks the return of Beyoncé, the venue is the perfect place for Queen Bey to collect her tributes and tell everyone to "bow down." But she’s likely to face stiff competition from her hubby and Justin Timberlake. We’ll have to wait until August 25th when the Moonmen will officially be handed out.
