According to Elle UK, work is to begin immediately on a new scent for both men and women through P & G Prestige though a release date hasn’t been set. This will mark the first scent from the label since McQueen's passing in 2010. The brand has previously entered the market with Kingdom in 2003 and My Queen in 2005 through YSL Beauté, but both have since been discontinued.
The brand’s signature blend of contradictions (fragility and strength tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity) was a big draw for both sides to come together to develop a wholly unique aroma that is sure to shake up the fragrance counter. “Creating a fragrance feels like a natural progression as it enhances the world of Alexander McQueen,” Burton explained. “I'm very excited by this opportunity to collaborate with P&G Prestige, to work together to create a scent that captures the unique sensibility of the house.”
As soon a date is set, we’ll be sure to mark our calendars!
