Not unlike the speculation that surrounded CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners Public School regarding the possibility that the brand would branch out to include a little somethin’ somethin’ for the ladies, Duckie Brown is reportedly joining the lineup of those who have attempted womenswear!
Though, at this stage, it sounds like more than an attempt, considering Daniel Silver and Steven Cox told Women’s Wear Daily that they will show 10 womenswear pieces along with their usual menswear offerings during New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 next month, both using the same colors and fabrics, and exhibiting “the same sensibility.” Oh, and evening wear, too.
"It's for the downtown woman, but it's also sophisticated." Silver said.
Well, bravo to the design duo for branching out. 10 pieces isn’t so ambitious that it immediately raises eyebrows and we can’t wait to see what comes down the runway!
