Hilary Duff has tied the knot! Over the weekend, the 32-year-old actress married her longtime partner Matthew Koma in an imitate wedding ceremony at their their Los Angeles home. One day after saying “I do,” she took to social to share photos from their special day.
In the photo, the newlyweds pose alongside a vintage Jeep Wagoneer decked out with flowers, tin cans, and a “just married” displayed across the window. “This,” she captioned post. Koma also shared the photo on his Instagram, writing: “For the rest of forever… 12.21.19.”
The couple is radiating happiness, and Duff looks absolutely stunning in a modern-chic custom wedding gown by Jenny Packham. She also shared a video, produced by Vogue, which detailed her dress selection. Duff said she loved what Packham described as the “empowered shoulders” on the sleek gown, which also featured cape-like sleeves, a fishtail skirt, and 100 buttons down the back.
“I want Hilary to feel, how I think she wanted to feel in this dress from the direction that we had which is very modern and it’s quite a bold look,” Packham said in the behind-the-scenes video. “And more than anything I wanted her to feel immensely confident in it, and it’s a very confident look.”
Duff’s wedding gown also had some very sentimental details. In the hemline, Packham embroidered the bride and groom’s initials with their wedding date, followed by the initials of their children.
As for the ceremony, it was laid-back and low-key — just like the couple themselves. “The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends,” a source told People.
“The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard,” they added.
Photos shared from the reception show that Duff changed into a gold two-piece look for the reception, but not before taking a bathroom selfie with her hubby, both showing off their new wedding bands.
Hilary Duff’s wedding comes seven months after the two got engaged. She and Koma were first linked back in 2017 and had an on-again-off-again relationship before reunited for good later that year. In June 2018 they announced they were expecting their first child together, and in October 2018, the couple welcomed daughter Banks Violet Bair. Duff is also mom to 7-year-old son Luca Cruz, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
