What Fox News Host Shannon Bream Looks Like Makeup-Free

Fox News anchors have a look that is as part of the fabric of the conservative news brand as its right-leaning coverage is. For the female anchors, it's a perfectly coiffed aesthetic that includes heavy, camera-proof makeup that meets the brand's conservative ethic. (Translation: You won't see any OTT graphic eyeliner or "Euphoria"-inspired face gems at the news desk.) That doesn't mean that the news anchors don't make the occasional makeup mistake (like Shannon Bream's eye-minimizing smokey shadow) that feels off-brand, though. It also doesn't mean that they won't be seen bare-faced. Despite what some people may think, many Fox News anchors are comfortable going makeup-free.

And that includes Bream. The legal correspondent and anchor, whose pageant wins in her youth helped pay for her college and law school fees, isn't afraid of having the public see her without foundation and mascara on. She has confidently posted images and videos of herself without makeup on her social media platforms, and fans love it.

In September 2020, Fox News host Shannon Bream posted a selfie to Instagram with a caption that read, "Last day at the beach. Smiling on the outside. Crying on the inside." She added the hashtag #30A, which refers to the beautiful stretch of beaches along Florida's panhandle. (The anchor was born and raised in Sanford.) In the image, Bream looked stunning without a trace of makeup. She would have been 49 at the time, and clearly her genetics and skincare routine for an over-40 are doing something, as she could have passed for 30.

That's only one example of fans loving a makeup-free Bream. In May 2025, the anchor posted a video to Facebook, where she was doing her makeup before filming at Fox began. Followers praised her, with one commenting that she's "beautiful with/without makeup," and another adding, "No makeup needed, Shannon." Agreed.
