Anne Hathaway Can't Escape The Rumors About Her Face

Anne Hathaway made waves when she arrived at the Ralph Lauren fall 2025 show in New York City in April. Casually sitting in the front row alongside fellow A-listers Michelle Williams and Naomi Watts, Anne Hathaway looked stunning with her high ponytail (our favorite flirty hair look on her) and impeccable makeup. Many fans have compared the "Rachel Getting Married" star to a vampire, as she never ages, but some are now wondering if she's had plastic surgery's newest fad, the ponytail facelift. When an X account shared a clip of Hathaway watching the runway show, a user replied, "She has had so much work done, it doesn't even look like her anymore. She looks better now." Another wrote, "Tbh it's the same facelift most famous people and influencers are doing now and it's horrible. They all look the same, no facial expressions, same nose, same mouth." One fan even commented, "I love her but she looks pulled too tight."

Fans have been poring over Hathaway's features for years, with one Redditor comparing her looks from 2006 and 2023. "She has made very wise choices and isn't going overboard. Her nose job is extremely subtle, too. You can barely tell the bridge of her nose is smaller. It's really well done and flattering," a Reddit user noted. "The not going overboard piece is crucial. She has a good plastic surgeon and obvs she's not obsessed with getting multiple surgeries or fillers. She might be using Botox?" another wondered. Because of all the speculation on Hathaway's possible plastic surgery, experts have weighed in, and they seem to think that she has had a bit of nip and tuck done to her face.

Fans aren't the only ones who think that Anne Hathaway has had Botox and fillers — yes, there's a difference — at the very least. "I have no doubt she had surgery on her nose," plastic surgeon Gary Motykie told the Daily Mail in 2023. He added, "You see it go from a slightly more plunging bulbous tip with a wide bridge to having a much more defined contour and thinner bridge and thinner tip and more tip projection. That's the leading sign of having a rhinoplasty." Motykie thought that Hathaway's jawline also looked "more contoured," which he said could be from injectables.

More recently, Dr. Barrett of Barrett Plastic Surgery noted Hathaway's tightened visage at the Ralph Lauren fashion show and speculated that she had a facelift and a neck lift. "Whoever did this did a great job. She has a beautifully snatched jawline. Her skin looks amazing, she's probably using great skincare — might have gotten a CO2 laser at the same time," Barrett shared in his YouTube video. He added that Hathaway had likely had fat transferred to her face, as well as an eyelid lift. Whatever the "Les Miserábles" star had done, she looks amazing, and plastic surgery or not, Hathaway has always given great face.
