What Avery From Yellowstone Looks Like In Real Life

Fans of Paramount Network's "Yellowstone" love Avery, with some calling her their favorite character from the Western drama series. So, what is it about Avery that draws fans in? It's largely her complexity and down-to-earth nature. Avery was working in a strip club when she was recruited to be a horse groomer at the Dutton family ranch. She moved into the bunkhouse –- the first woman to do so –- and warned the inhabitants not to try anything lewd with her. She didn't shy away from fitting in with the men, slotting right in at the poker table. Still, she couldn't stop herself from falling for one of the other Dutton regulars, with the love triangle between her, Kayce, and Kayce's wife, Monica, eventually prompting Avery to leave.

There's also Avery's no-nonsense aura, which extends to her looks. Like most of the series' characters, Avery wears Western-wear designed to get dirty on the ranch. But also like many other characters, including Elsa Dutton from "Yellowstone," who is gorgeous in real life, Avery is grubby on-screen but gorgeous in real life. Tanaya Beatty, who played Avery in Seasons 1, 2, and 4, is an Indigenous actor from Canada who made her big-screen debut at age 20 in 2011's "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1." In the blockbuster, she played Rachel Black, head werewolf Jacob's sister. From there, her star has continued to rise, and her style has, too.

Yes, this is actually Avery from Yellowstone IRL

"Yellowstone" actor Tanaya Beatty, a devoted yoga enthusiast, seems to relish a quieter existence, posting minimally on social media. We don't know much about her personal life, such as if she's one of the "Yellowstone" ladies with a partner in real life, either. What we do know is that she has a reputation for being easy to work with; "Yellowstone" co-creator Taylor Sheridan actually wrote the role of Avery for her, and "Through Black Spruce" producer Tina Cree called her "so lovely and Zen" (via The Globe and Mail).

She was promoting the latter project at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018 when she also revealed that she has a strong red-carpet game. At its premiere, she wore a red gown with Grecian-inspired draping from Indigenous designer Evan Ducharme. Her beauty hit the right notes with sleek hair worn down and a festival of false lashes that framed her doe-like eyes. At the festival the previous year, she showed off her natural beauty with understated makeup and a half-up hairstyle with a few face-framing pieces. "Yellowstone" fans might find it hard to believe that rough-and-tumble horse groomer Avery is this stunning in real life.

Beatty also attracted the attention of the beauty world around this time. In 2019, she appeared alongside Johnny Depp in a Dior campaign video for its men's Sauvage fragrance. (The video was later taken down after the brand was accused of cultural appropriation regarding Indigenous people.) As with many of the actors from "Yellowstone," we're awaiting more from this star, including what she will deliver in terms of fashion and beauty on the red carpet. Now, for more fun in this Western universe, check out what Beth Dutton from "Yellowstone" looks like in real life.
