What To Know About Beth Dutton's Real-Life Relationship

Beth Dutton spent five seasons in a tumultuous relationship with Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser), but in real life, Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton on "Yellowstone," has quite the opposite relationship with her husband. Reilly first met her husband, Kyle Baugher, at a wedding in Texas in 2010, and though they still largely keep their relationship under wraps and Baugher doesn't have much of a social media presence, Reilly has given a few rare glimpses into their fairy-tale relationship.

During a November 2024 episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," the "Pride & Prejudice" actor detailed that one of her friends had invited her as a plus-one to a wedding in Marfa, Texas, since her boyfriend was out of town. Reilly, being as much of a horse girl as her "Yellowstone" counterpart, agreed. "I had just been riding that morning, and I still had leather on my hands. I think I was a bit of a hot mess," she said on the show. The English actor went on to express how she was under the impression that Baugher, a Long Island native who attended Princeton University, was from Texas. The rest, as they say, is history.

After a couple of years of dating, Reilly and Baugher tied the knot in June 2012 at an intimate Somerset ceremony. At the time of writing, the two split their time between his native Long Island and Sussex, England. Though Baugher didn't previously have any ties to the entertainment industry, Baugher served as a co-executive producer for the "Yellowstone" prequel "1883." So, who knows? Maybe we'll see more of him in the entertainment world.

Kyle Baugher is just one of the real-life partners of the "Yellowstone" leading ladies, but unlike many of the others, he and Kelly Reilly had to sort out an optimal living situation bouncing between the U.S. and the U.K., and it hasn't always been smooth sailing. During their two years of dating, they had to figure out how to manage a long-distance relationship.

During an interview with The Guardian in January 2011, Reilly articulated the dread of going back and forth across the pond. "I live between my house on the borders of Sussex and Surrey and New York, where my boyfriend lives. I'm not saying any more about him except that he's not an actor, not in the business," she said of Baugher, continuing, "I spend a lot of time across the pond. I spend a lot of my time on aeroplanes. I'm probably going to do the move soon. I'd like my life to be in one place." As a true commander of stage and screen, Reilly performs much of her work in the States, whereas she keeps a lower profile in England. Regardless of what mode she's in, though, she's always had Baugher's unwavering support.

In July 2024, Reilly shared a video on Instagram showing gratitude for the positive influences on her life, while simultaneously promoting "Yellowstone" Season 5. "My dog that morning at the lake. My husband making me dinner when I came home bone tired. The group of people that continue to make this wild show make it with all their hearts and guts, I'm so deeply proud to be running alongside them."
