How Meghan Trainor's Face Has Changed, According To Our Plastic Surgeon
Meghan Trainor has had a weight-loss transformation since rocking the radio waves with "All About That Bass" in 2014, but that's not the only thing that's changed with her. While Trainor has admitted to getting Botox and fillers (there's a difference!), Dr. Brian Reagan, board-certified plastic surgeon at CosmetiCare Plastic Surgery Center & MedSpa in Newport Beach, California, thinks she's done a bit more than just injectables. "You can see some definite transformation in her facial appearance over the last five years. Admittedly, Meghan lost 60 pounds with the birth of a child, and you see a slimming of her facial features and a more defined lower jaw," he exclusively tells Glam. "But if you look closely, it appears Meghan also may have had a rhinoplasty, as the dorsum of her nose appears to have been reduced."
In 2024, Trainor revealed that she had gotten too much Botox, which Dr. Reagan saw evidence of. "If you look at her eyes, there is some heaviness [on her] lids, and it's possible that this is from excessive Botox in the forehead and brow area," the expert tells us. He also calls attention to the "Made You Look" singer's lip flip, which left her unable to smile for some time. "A little bit of Botox placed in the wrong place can change the way she smiles. So, it's not necessarily too much Botox, it's Botox that has been injected in the wrong area," Dr. Reagan states. Interestingly, that doesn't mean Trainor has to quit plastic surgery forever; rather, our expert thinks that she may benefit from specific cosmetic procedures to keep her youthful look — as long as they're the right ones.
Meghan Trainor isn't opposed to getting plastic surgery
Meghan Trainor may not have had a good experience with Botox, but Dr. Brian Reagan shares with Glam his expert advice on how to combat the results. "If she continues to have heaviness despite Botox, then Meghan might be an excellent candidate for an upper blepharoplasty, plus or minus a brow lift," he exclusively shares with Glam. "In addition, with continued weight loss, Meghan may lose volume to her face, and therefore would be a good candidate to restore volume either with filler or my preferences, to use her own fat," the plastic surgeon also suggests, adding, "Interestingly, this can be done in the office space setting without undergoing general anesthesia, which makes it a simpler outpatient procedure for patients."
It looks like Trainor isn't afraid to go under the knife, as she announced her breast lift and augmentation in March. "I've thought about a breast augmentation for YEARS and with everything going on in my life I decided it was time to do something for ME," she shared in an Instagram post. "I'm absolutely in love with my results! I'm more confident than ever and I'm so happy that I made this decision," the "Mother" singer gushed. Fans congratulated Trainor on her new look and authentic happiness, loving how transparent she is with her choices and self-esteem journey.
