Ivanka Trump's Super Bowl Hair Extensions Fail Will Always Haunt Her
It's no secret that the women around Donald Trump are prone to hair mistakes, from Kimberly Guilfoyle's strangely volumized hair that evokes a Bumpit to Lauren Boebert's glaring side part. When Ivanka Trump suffered an unfortunate hair fail at the 2025 Super Bowl, though, her father actually exposed it.
On the day of the Big Game, a video of Donald and Ivanka at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans was posted on Instagram ahead of the matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. The cameraperson, Margo Martin, made one grave mistake, though. The video was taken from the back, and the tracks of Ivanka's blond hair extensions are visible. They weren't properly blended into her real hair, making it a bad day to wear her hair straightened, no less.

One user wrote under the post, "With all the grifting you have done, Ivanka, you should have enough money to get professional hair extensions!" Another quipped, "Oh, girl, I see those extensions." Interestingly, hairstylist Julia North spoke to the Daily Mail after the fact and revealed that the fake hair was likely "18 to 20 inch extensions," adding that the extensions likely cost between $2,500 and $4,000 with both the units and the installation included. Perhaps Ivanka should ask for a refund.
What did Ivanka Trump's Super Bowl LIX outfit mean?
Thanks to her background in fashion, Ivanka Trump's looks have often had special meanings, from her decision to wear blue on election night in November 2024 to her conscious decision to wear white throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Her outfit for Super Bowl LIX was no different.
Ivanka opted for a white Akris sleeveless pantsuit, accessorizing with a brown statement belt, a gold bangle, a handbag from Hunting Season, and matching brown pumps. Everything was in neutral, earth-toned colors, which was likely a conscious decision. Oftentimes at sporting events like this, A-listers show up in the colors or merch of the team they're supporting, like Brittany Mahomes' spicy 2025 Super Bowl outfit (her most daring game-day look). However, none of the Trump crew was for this event.
It was the first time in history that the sitting president attended the Super Bowl, and upon the family's arrival, they were met with mixed reactions. "I for one enjoyed all the boos he got," one Instagram user wrote at the time. Ivanka may have known that their attendance would be a point of contention and didn't want to ruffle any more feathers by supporting one team over another.
