Lara Trump Looks So Different In Her Engagement Photo

For an outsider looking in, it can be hard to keep up with the various players in Trump world, particularly when many of the women gravitate toward similar style aesthetics. Former TV producer Lara Trump is married to Eric Trump, the second son of the POTUS, and is the mother of two of Donald Trump's grandkids: Luke and Carolina Trump. Like other Trump women, Lara favors glamorous and sleek hairstyles and doesn't seem opposed to cosmetic procedures (absolutely no judgment here). But the photo she posted from her and Eric's engagement back in 2013 shows that Lara's look has changed quite a lot over the years, even if she always had the makings of MAGA beauty.

Lara (then Yunaska) and Eric first met in 2008 and started dating three months later, when Lara was a producer at "Insight Edition" and Eric was working for his dad. They got engaged five years later, with Eric proposing at one of the Trump estates in Bedford, New York, while the pair were taking their dog for a walk. He gave Lara a diamond ring from sister Ivanka Trump's Fine Jewelry line, and then the fiancees shared a toast of champagne. They were wed at Mar-a-Lago the following year, but as shown in her Instagram post celebrating their anniversary in 2023, Lara was already sporting a different look during her nuptials; having broken both of her wrists while riding horses a few weeks ahead of the wedding, she had to incorporate bridal gloves into her ensemble to hide the casts. Her face isn't clearly shown in the anniversary snap, but from the 2013 engagement photo, it's clear that there's been a complete transformation of Lara Trump since the 2010s.

Lara Trump has changed a lot since her 2013 engagement to Eric

"My favorite picture from our July 4th engagement," Lara Trump captioned the photo from her engagement with Eric Trump, which shows the two posing at the estate. The first thing that stands out as being miles from Lara's current look is her hair: It appears that Lara had long hair trailing well past her shoulders with lots of layers in 2013. The choppiness of the layers may point to extensions, along with the varying highlights and lowlights, but there's no way to be sure. Either way, it's different from Lara's look today, which tends to feature uniform length cropped at the collar bone with a middle part instead of a side part. Her roots were also much darker, which provided lots of contrast against the areas of platinum blond.

If you've seen what Lara Trump looks like makeup-free, you'll know that she's naturally gorgeous with an even complexion. But still, Glam has pinned Lara Trump as one of the worst offenders of "Mar-a-Lago" face due to apparent cosmetic work, which wasn't noticeable at her engagement. In particular, facial and lip fillers seem to have been added over the years. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with Lara or anyone else opting for fillers, and you can check out our ultimate guide to understanding every kind of dermal filler if you're curious

All that said, there are still some similarities between the engagement look and Lara today. It seems she was always a fan of Republican red, even before Donald Trump ran for president. And her sculpted arms show she was probably a gym member even back then — a detail that may have foreshadowed her future in the creation and selling of fitness apparel.
