Kaley Cuoco Has Been Open About Her Plastic Surgery For A Long Time
Certain celebrities will refuse to admit that they've ever had work done, while other A-listers have opened up about their cosmetic procedures in detail and even recommended their surgeon to their supporters. "The Big Bang Theory" alum Kaley Cuoco has always been among the latter and a proud defender of going under the knife (and Kaley Cuoco is equally as open about certain red-carpet hairstyles she strongly regrets).
The actor first revealed her enhancements during an interview with Cosmopolitan in March 2014. She explained that she got most of her work done far before she was catapulted into the spotlight, receiving her breast implants at 18. Today, Cuoco still stands behind the fact that the decision was a great move for her confidence. Years after her surgery, Cuoco received a cosmetic injection in her neck. "Recently I had a filler in a line in my neck I've had since I was 12," she disclosed to Women's Health in 2016, before voicing the lasting effects on her self-confidence. "As much as you want to love your inner self ... I'm sorry, you also want to look good. I don't think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that's amazing."
Kaley Cuoco looked so different before she had work done
As mentioned previously, Kaley Cuoco was merely a teenager when she received a breast augmentation, and also a rhinoplasty. However, the actor already had a handful of credits under her belt by the time she went under the knife. In 1991, when she was six years old, she was already modeling and acting, and at seven, she would be cast in her first feature film: "Quicksand: No Escape." She steadily appeared in small roles in TV episodes and films until her 18th birthday, likely funding her procedures.
Though Cuoco is one of the leading ladies of "The Big Bang Theory" who looks stunning without makeup, her mind was set on exactly what work she wanted done. "I had no b—-! And it really was the best thing ever! I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn't about trying to be a p— star or wanting to look hot and sexy," she told Redbook in 2014. She doubled down during her interview with Women's Health from 2016, confirming that her breast augmentation in particular was the best thing she'd ever done.
Kaley Cuoco relied on exercise and diet changes, not surgery, after giving birth
The "Charmed" star Kaley Cuoco didn't just achieve her dream look with the help of surgical enhancements; she's put the work in on her own. During the aforementioned Women's Health interview, Cuoco detailed her health and fitness regimens. She set off on her journey when she and her husband of under two years, professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting, filed for divorce in September 2015 due to "irreconcilable differences."
In an attempt to distract herself from the ongoing heartbreak, Cuoco began regularly attending fitness and yoga classes, which turned out to be ideal spots for her to let it all out. "I've cried numerous times in yoga. The best part is I'm sweating so bad no one can tell," she joked. Speaking about another one of her favorites, SoulCycle, she added, "It's so dark, you can cry in there too. Everyone's going through stuff in their lives, every single person." Amen, sister.
Cuoco also turned to the kitchen in the wake of her divorce, but probably not for the reason you'd think. During a separate interview with Women's Health in July 2022, she spoke about how well she had gotten to know her body. "I learned over the past few years that I have to eat every two hours," she said. "I'm much healthier now than I used to be ... I think I used to be afraid to eat, and now I just know the right things to eat."
