Small Details From Taylor Swift's Engagement Photos We Can't Stop Thinking About

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's "Love Story" just got even sweeter! Swift, who's been wearing her best (and worst) game day fits at Kelce's football games for the better part of two years, decided to take over the news cycle by announcing her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Taking to Instagram, Swift and Kelce posted a joint slideshow of their engagement photos, writing, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." Of course, Swift's surprise announcement has been doing crazy numbers, climbing to nearly 20 million likes as of this writing, as Swifties around the world are probably scheming for ways to get invites to the eventual nuptials. Knowing how much Tay likes fan service, at least one fan will probably end up in attendance at the big event.

Then there are the engagement photos themselves, which are the real star of the announcement. Although Swift and Kelce's engagement is enough to inspire heart eyes in us all, we couldn't help but notice all of the adorable details that the future spouses included in the photos, starting with the setting. While some celebs prefer to propose in lavish, expensive venues, Kelce, who recently had Swift on his "New Heights" podcast for the first time, opted for a flower-filled courtyard full of stones and foliage that definitely satisfied all of Swift's whimsical sensibilities. Then there's the couple's adorable matching 'fits and Swift's messy, tousled hair that paired well with her understated look (and also screamed romance). All Taylor Swift required was a "Paper Ring," but Travis Kelce went above and beyond and put down money on one heck of a "shiny thing" for his future bride. Swift's ring looks to be a bit non-traditional in the sense that it's not a giant diamond (or other precious jewel) surrounded by smaller diamonds. With its oval shape and flat face, decorated with diamonds, it appears that Kelce helped design something that's probably more aligned to her personal style. After all, this is the same diva who thinks shopping for antiques makes for a good Saturday afternoon.

With that said, there's absolutely nothing antique about the possible price of Swift's gorgeous engagement ring — at least if jewelry experts are correct. Since Swift and Kelce dropped their romantic bomb on the world, folks have been eager to figure out just how much Kelce thinks their love is worth. Apparently, the Kindred Lubeck-designed ring cost a lot. Jeweler George Khalife, for example, believes Kelce could've spent between $3.5 and $5 million on the gorgeous piece of jewelry! "The ring seems to come with some serious history! Old Mine diamonds are rare and hard to come by," Khalife shared with People. "It means the diamond is naturally occurring, and hand-cut, using techniques that we rarely see anymore! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly."
