How Jessica Simpson's Face Has Transformed Over The Years, According To Our Plastic Surgeon
It doesn't take more than a quick glance at photos of Jessica Simpson from the beginning of her career to now to strongly suspect that the singer and fashion designer has changed her physical looks over the years, and we're not just talking about Jessica Simpson's hair transformation back to dirty blond. No, it's pretty clear that the "Leave" singer, who turned 45 in July 2025, has had some cosmetic work done, and Dr. Michael Niccole, board-certified plastic surgeon and founder and director of CosmetiCare Plastic Surgery Center & MedSpa in Newport Beach, California, concurs.
One thing he notes in particular is her complexion. "She's had excellent skin care, whether through laser treatments or microneedling," he exclusively tells Glam. "Whoever has treated her has done a great job because her complexion looks remarkably youthful." This was on prominent display at the 2025 VMAs in early September, where Simpson returned to the event after years away to present friend and fellow singer Ricky Martin with the Latin Icon Award. Still, our expert believes she's had more work done than just skincare.
What other work does our plastic surgeon think Jessica Simpson has undergone?
In Dr. Michael Niccole's expert opinion, Jessica Simpson's transformation undoubtedly includes her pucker being touched. "There's no question she's had lip enhancement," he tells us exclusively. "In addition, she has most likely had a breast augmentation. At 45, she's a little young for a full facelift, but I would say she may have had a mini facelift, since her skin looks so flawless."
Does he have any thoughts on what she could be doing differently or may want to consider in the future? "Honestly, she looks pretty good," he says, adding, "I wouldn't change much beyond what she's already doing." But there's always room for more. "Over the next five to 10 years, she might consider a fat transfer — a stem cell transfer — to the lower lids and cheek area for subtle rejuvenation," he tells us. Still, he thinks she's doing just fine in the plastic surgery arena. "But overall, she's maintained her look beautifully and just needs to continue her facial rejuvenation and skincare program," Dr. Niccole concludes.
