9 Times Lauren Boebert Proved She Can't Match Her Shoes To Her Outfits

Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert's fashion sense is like a fender bender: We want to look away and not add to the chaos of the scene. But we can't not look at the repeated style disasters that the petite Florida-born politician continues to serve up. And based on what she chooses, including Lauren Boebert's most tight-fitting outfits that completely miss the professional mark, we suspect this is exactly what she wants. From her inappropriately short skirts worn on the campaign trail to her body-con MAGA-approved sheath dresses, Boebert seems to want to turn heads with her fashion choices.

But it's not just the 'fits that have us cringing; it's her footwear choices as well. Picking outfits that prove Lauren Boebert can't match her shoes to her clothes is like shooting fish in a barrel. It's too easy. The thing that's hardest to figure out is why she picks the shoes she does, when we know she owns pairs that would actually work with her looks.

Are Lauren Boebert's insecurities showing with her fashion fails?

We have a sneaking suspicion that Lauren Boebert's inability to match her shoes to her outfits may actually be more about her insecurity. At a mere 5-feet tall, Boebert often wears heels, presumably to amplify her height. For visits to farms, factories, and outdoor settings, Boebert often reaches for snug jeans, tight tank tops, and venue-inappropriate high heels, when something sportier and flat would've coordinated better with her look. As an Instagram user noted on one of her posts: "Lose the high heels in the great outdoors."

Lauren Boebert struggles to style her '80s-era dress

We like bright pink, but it can be tricky to style, especially in a professional way, as Lauren Boebert has shown on multiple occasions. When she was at the Capitol, she wore a gray blazer with a tan bag and nude heels. With a bold dress, choosing one shade of neutral, as opposed to three uncoordinated ones, would have looked more pulled together. When she was visiting a university, she paired the same dress with a black jacket and white heels. Why not just wear black pumps and keep it streamlined?

Lauren Boebert fails in Western boots again and again

We wish Lauren Boebert would stop wearing her collection of gaudy cowboy boots, and we aren't the only ones. When she wore a pair of boots with a shift dress, Instagram users had words. "You should hire a stylist," one commented. Another chided, "What's on your feet? With a polyester dress? Girl." If she won't stop wearing them, at least she could learn how to transition her cowboy boots to work with all her looks.

Lauren Boebert bombs in stiletto-heeled boots

If we had to guess what was going on in Lauren Boebert's mind when she chose this outfit, we would say she was trying to sample equestrian chic by pairing a jacket (with a cringy rhinestone buckle), with leggings and boots. But sadly for her, the look failed miserably, in large part because of the stiletto heels on the boots. This isn't a Capitol-appropriate look and the equestrian vibe of boots over leggings doesn't work with the stiletto-heeled knee-high boots.

Laurent Boebert's outfit is a clash of neutrals

Once again, Lauren Boebert's outfit didn't quite hit the mark when she paired a black dress with brown suede-looking heels and a tan handbag. Black can work with brown, but there needs to be another brown element to anchor the look, such as a coordinating belt or handbag. Instead, Boebert chose a nude-colored bag, which muddled the ensemble, again proving that Boebert can't match her shoes to her outfits. Boebs: When in doubt, just wear black heels with a black dress.

Leather and silver didn't deliver for Lauren Boebert

We're confused about why you would wear a fitted leather dress and silver high heels to meet the director of the FBI, but clearly it made sense to Lauren Boebert. To make leather work-appropriate, it should be worn in classic silhouettes with neutral accessories. If she insisted on wearing a dress like this, why not wear the black heels she chooses for touring factories and farms? The combo of a black dress and black heels shouldn't be that challenging of a concept, but clearly for Boebert, it is.
