Red Flags In Cheryl Hines And RFK Jr's Marriage From Our Love Coach
If there's one thing we know about high-profile relationships, it's that all that glitters isn't gold. Powerful and privileged couples might try to show the world that their union is a fairy tale, but true red flags that a relationship won't work out are difficult to hide. United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, had been married twice before marrying actor Cheryl Hines in 2014 after dating her since 2012. Hines, who rose to fame on the show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and has several impressive acting credits behind her, including guest stints on hit sitcoms like "Friends" and "Everybody Loves Raymond," sometimes posts idyllic couple photos on Instagram. Still, celebrity love coach and body language expert Nicole Moore exclusively tells Glam that there may be a few red flags in this relationship, the most prominent being RFK Jr.'s alleged cheating, which has been chronicled in court filings (via CNN).
"The fact that RFK Jr. has reportedly cheated on multiple women is a huge red flag in his relationship with Cheryl Hines," Moore tells us. "While cheating can sometimes be an isolated incident, if someone has a history of cheating, that usually indicates that they have commitment issues or deeper unhealed wounds that will hurt their partner, no matter who they are with." In particular, Moore shares that RFK Jr. is rumored to have "had inappropriate relations with a member of the press during his presidential run," and the effect on Hines would likely be significant considering being cheated on can physically impact your brain. Because of this, Moore says that "it's very likely that Cheryl is worried or stressed about her husband being faithful to her." In addition to the alleged cheating, Moore points to other possible red flags in this relationship, including where their careers are concerned.
RFK Jr and Cheryl Hines' differing careers could cause tension
Both partners in a relationship having successful careers can be beneficial since they can likely empathize with each other and share core values, but according to Nicole Moore, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines' differing careers could actually be a source of tension. "While Cheryl works as an actress in a notoriously politically left-leaning industry, her husband joined forces with the Republican party and it's been reported that she may lose out on potential roles due to people being unhappy with RFK's political choices," she shares exclusively with Glam. "When one partner has to diminish their career ambitions to support another partner's career goals, it can create huge resentment and imbalanced power dynamics in the relationship." Moore adds that if Hines ends up losing out on networking opportunities or creative roles because of this, it may lead to frustration.
The reported cheating combined with the career tension would be a lot for anyone to handle, which brings us to the final red flag that Moore has identified. "Cheryl was spotted without her wedding ring after the alleged cheating scandal between RFK Jr. and reporter Olivia Nuzzi broke, and this is an indicator that their marriage may be facing issues," she tells us. The scandal in question came to light in 2024, when it was revealed that RFK Jr. had allegedly been "sexting" Nuzzi, a reporter for New York magazine at the time (via The Guardian). "Typically, when a partner is spotted without their wedding ring, it's a sign of trouble in the marriage," Moore explains. "It's likely that Cheryl has questioned whether she should stay in the marriage and even if she's decided to stay, she may still carry lingering doubts."
