You can't think of "Law & Order: SVU" without Olivia Benson and Amanda Rollins coming to mind. Played by Mariska Hargitay and Kelli Giddish, respectively, the two leading ladies are paramount to the show. Although Giddish left Season 24 with her character getting married to an assistant district attorney, in real life, she's with her husband Beau Richards. The two maintain a private life and don't share too many personal details, but Giddish celebrated their marriage in an Instagram post in February 2022. "Happy beyond words to have met and married my love, my man, my sweet beau ... you are my light, and the most supreme step-father Ludo and Charlie could ask for," she gushed.

Meanwhile, Mariska Hargitay, who's had a stunning hair transformation, is happily married to fellow actor Peter Hermann, whom she met on the set of "Law & Order: SVU." If the name sounds familiar, it's because you might have seen him as the male lead in "Younger." He and Hargitay have been married since August 2004, and he's still in love with his wife after all these years. "I never thought I would have this much laughter in my life," Hermann told People in 2019. He added, "Not just actual laughter. But also the way that Mariska is just the embodiment of laughter — of joy." Giddish and Hargitay seem to have found their soulmates, and that's not the only thing the co-stars have in common, as they are also both moms to three kids.

Mariska Hargitay and Kelli Giddish's real-life partners are great dads

Kelli Giddish and Beau Richards welcomed their first child together, Oldie, on June 20, 2023, which the "All My Children" star announced on Instagram. "Oldie — you've brought immeasurable JOY to me and your daddy and your two brothers (and your grandparents and aunts and uncles!). You wake up smiling and the light you bring to each moment is truly incredible," Giddish shared. Richards often posts pics of his son on his own page, and it's clear that he's a doting stepfather as well. On June 15, 2025, he shared a pic of himself and Giddish with all three kids and wrote, "Always on my mind."

Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann are also part of a family of five, with the pair welcoming August in 2006, and then adopting Amaya and Andrew in 2011. Hermann channeled his experience as a father to write his first children's book, "If the S in Moose Comes Loose." He told People in 2018, "It came out of play, the fun of rhyming, and the idea that language is a lot of different things." The "Blue Bloods" actor was a teacher in his past life and is a lover of poetry. "One of the reasons I like to rhyme is I think it's a playful way to organize the world ... It creates a structure to follow — it's like a game. And it's a fun game to play as [a] writer," Hermann shared. It looks like both Hargitay and Giddish won the jackpot with their real-life partners, and so did the ladies from "The White Lotus."
