Marjorie Taylor Greene's Inappropriate Outfit For Her RNC Speech Will Always Haunt Her

We're guessing that Marjorie Taylor Greene could use some tips for letting go of regret and finally feeling free. After all, she's been one of President Donald Trump's staunchest supporters, only to then have a difference of opinion with him and the Republican party, prompting her to abandon her congressional seat. There are also the inappropriate outfits Marjorie Taylor Greene was caught wearing that she may regret. That includes the look she wore for the 2024 Republican National Convention, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in July, where she gave a rousing speech celebrating Trump's nomination for president and challenging Democrats on the border crisis.

For the speech, which was given to party members including Trump, J.D. Vance, and Kristi Noem, Taylor Greene opted for a red spaghetti-strap dress that featured an oversized floral motif at the chest, which she paired with sparkly silver shoes. This wasn't a political power look; this outfit was downright cocktail attire. Fashion may not be Taylor Greene's forté, but surely someone could've advised the Georgian toward something more appropriate for the convention?

We'd like to give Marjorie Taylor Greene the benefit of the doubt with the inappropriate outfit she wore for her 2024 Republican National Convention speech. It was a celebratory moment for her, so she no doubt wanted to look and feel fantastic, and it was an evening event. Unfortunately for her, she missed the mark in a red cocktail dress that was totally mismatched to the significance of her role as a speaker being watched by the world.

But what could she have worn instead? A skirt suit, like the ones Melania and Ivanka Trump wore to the convention, would have been a safe option. As would have been a sheath dress, which we consider one of Usha Vance's best outfits so far. Why? Because it's the perfect mix of conservative-meets-fashionable. The draped shoulder was elegant and showed just enough skin. The cut was sophisticated but also glamorous. And the footwear was refined, not tacky. At this point, it's hard to fathom that Taylor Greene will be back on the political stage anytime soon, but never say never when it comes to political comebacks. And fashion ones as well.
