The Leading Ladies Of Chicago Fire And Their Real-Life Partners

One of the biggest franchises currently on television has been a part of the NBC network for more than 10 years. With multiple shows set in Chicago, NBC has created a universe of service workers that audiences have come to know and love. Known as "One Chicago," three series are included: "Chicago Med," "Chicago P.D.," and of course, "Chicago Fire." The original "Chicago Fire" series started it all back in 2012. Airing its 14th season in 2025, the show is as popular as ever, even making the perfect pop culture Halloween costume choice for fans. And among its large cast, the women of the series have taken viewers by storm.

"Chicago Fire" has had a number of leading ladies make their mark on the show over the years. From firefighters to paramedics, there is a wide range of powerful women in the franchise that are beautiful and business-oriented. Some have been caught up in steamy love stories on the show. And in real life, it seems that the ladies have been lucky in love as well. Many are currently in relationships that they are happy to share on their social media pages or show off at industry events with their partners as a plus one, from Jocelyn Hudon to Kara Killmer. Let's take a deeper look at the women of "Chicago Fire" and the romances they have cultivated while not in front of the camera.

Jocelyn Hudon is married to a fellow actor

Hallmark favorite Jocelyn Hudon is one of the newest stars of "Chicago Fire," playing flirty paramedic Lyla "Lizzie" Novak. But in real life, Hudon is happily married to Jake Manley. The two met in 2015 as they were both represented by the same agent. They tied the knot in 2021 when they eloped on Halloween. The cute couple clearly don't have any problem dating a co-worker as they have since gone on to star together in Netflix's "The Order" and the Hallmark movie "Love in the Maldives."

Miranda Rae Mayo found love through volunteering

On "Chicago Fire," Miranda Rae Mayo has been playing firefighter Stella Kidd since 2016. Around that time, she was linked to "The Girl in the Photographs" co-star Luke Baines. Mayo confirmed on Instagram in 2021 that she is queer. She revealed in a 2025 episode of "Lovers by Shan" that she is dating Andrés González, who is a co-founder of The Holistic Life Foundation. The couple met a few years before they started dating when Mayo wanted to get involved in the foundation. Later when they were finally single at the same time, sparks flew!

Hanako Greensmith is smitten with her girlfriend

Hanako Greensmith has been playing paramedic Violet on "Chicago Fire" since 2020. She is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and often makes commemorative posts celebrating Pride Month on social media. In early 2025, Greensmith confirmed on Instagram that she is in a relationship with partner Lex. Celebrating Lex's 30th birthday, Greensmith wrote "Happy nerdy, chirpy, dirty, flirty thirty to my sweet girl." Exactly when the two started dating is unknown, but it's speculated that they've been together for at least one year.

Monica Raymund met her girlfriend on Chicago Fire

Playing the role of Gabriela Dawson on the first six seasons of "Chicago Fire" led to actor Monica Raymund meeting her partner. After coming out as bisexual in 2014, Raymund confirmed the following year that she was dating Tari Segal who happened to be a camera operator on the NBC series! No updates have been given on Raymund and Segal's relationship, as both keep their social media pages reserved for work accomplishments, but it's believed that the two are still together.

Kara Killmer met her husband on a film set

Kara Killmer joined the cast of "Chicago Fire" in 2014 and became a mainstay on the show by playing Sylvie Brett for a decade before departing the series in 2024. Killmer has her acting career to thank for her marriage as she met her husband when they starred in a movie together. Her husband is actor Andrew Cheney and the two met on the set of the film "Beyond The Mask." They fell in love and got married in 2016 but have since kept their relationship private.

Is Katelynn Shennett a newlywed?

In a recurring role, Katelynn Shennett has played Kylie Estevez on "Chicago Fire" since 2020. While the character has been focused on the future of her career, Shennett has established a good work-life balance which is key for maintaining healthy relationships. In November 2021, she announced on Instagram that she was engaged to her longtime boyfriend Jake Stille. The couple officially tied the knot in 2023, but Shennett kept the news secret from the public. It wasn't until their second anniversary that Shennett confirmed they were married and posted photos from the wedding day.
