Taylor Swift Lives An Outrageously Lavish Life

Every generation has its handful of pop-culture icons. For millennials, Gen Z, and even Gen Alpha, Taylor Swift is among them. The Pennsylvania-born superstar, who has a catalog of 12 studio albums (not to mention live albums and those she re-recorded), has broken records that are both quantifiable and unquantifiable. Her Eras Tour was the highest-grossing in world history, but we've also never seen such fanfare, scrutiny, and excitement at every move in a musician's career, from album releases that shut down the internet to minor fashion choices that make major headlines. Needless to say, Swift is still killing it nearly 20 years after her Nashville debut, and such success comes with the riches to match.

Forbes estimates Swift's net worth to be approximately $1.6 billion in December 2025, not only making her the wealthiest female singer in existence but also the only musician to have reached billionaire status solely through music, live performances, and merchandise. In other words, she's an artist without her own beauty brand — a sight that's becoming increasingly rare. In her 2019 hit "The Man," Swift noted that she doesn't "flash her dollars," because unlike her male counterparts, that would make her a "b**** not a baller" in the eyes of the world. Still, we have a pretty good idea of what she spends her immense fortune on, from a multi-million-dollar real-estate portfolio and vacations in the world's most exclusive resorts to high-end fashion and, of course, looking after her staff very generously. All of this said, let's take a closer look at Taylor Swift, whose stunning style transformation is only the beginning of her luxe lifestyle.

Taylor Swift's property portfolio is mouth-watering

Taylor Swift's property race began in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2009 with her 3,200-square-foot condo on Music Row. She bought her next Nashville property, known as the Northumberland Estate, in 2011 for $2.5 million. Then, she bought her first Beverly Hills home in 2012, and the following year, she snatched up the iconic Watch Hill seaside estate in Rhode Island. The $17.75 million home offers a private beachfront, eight fireplaces, and a pool, serving as the ideal setting for Swift's famous parties (more on that below).

In 2014, she started acquiring property in New York City, beginning with a Tribeca penthouse at 155 Franklin Street. She soon bought the adjacent property and converted the two penthouses into a single duplex. Together, they have 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. All in all, the duplex cost her a whopping $19.95 million, but it was a wise investment, as Swift let friend and "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner stay there following her 2024 divorce from Joe Jonas. Next came yet another Tribeca townhouse close to her duplex, this one offering a private theater, gym, and terrace and setting the "Elizabeth Taylor" singer back another $18 million. Next door, she also acquired a private apartment for her security team. Makes sense! In 2018, Swift added to her portfolio again with a three-bedroom loft, also at 155 Franklin Street, which cost more than $9 million.

Beyond New York, Swift bought a 10,982-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills in 2015, which she renovated after the early-2025 California wildfires. She sold her first Beverly Hills home in 2018 for $2.65 million, landing $850,000 in capital gains. Finally, in 2023, Swift was rumored to have bought a $13 million home in North London after previously renting in the Cotswolds, England (via The Sun).

Taylor Swift's billionaire aesthetic

With each album, Taylor Swift's style game gets an upgrade. Whether Taylor Swift is in dark and edgy "Reputation"-era outfits or in her whimsical "Lover" mode, she loves going all out with expensive pieces. There aren't enough words to chronicle all of her high-end looks, but if we dissect some of her most famous outfits, we can get an idea of her opulent taste. For the "Willow" music video, Swift appeared in a Zimmerman dress that cost $2,650, $8,950 pearl earrings, and a $1,225 tiara. Her favorite brands seem to include Stella McCartney, whose $2,875 plaid coat she wore on the cover of her "Evermore" album, Louis Vuitton, and Versace, among others.

In 2024 alone, Swift kicked off the year by wearing diamond earrings with a price tag of over $108,000 at the Golden Globes. She was also spotted out and about in New York City on one occasion with a $2,650 YSL purse, and on another with $2,450 Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier boots. The same month, she was seen in a hooded maxi from The Row, valued at $3,350, and holding the Petite Malle Louis Vuitton bag, worth up to $10,500.

Other standout pieces from the year include a Jacquie Aiche ring worth $6,250, not to mention a lavish display of jewels worn to the Super Bowl. To support beau Travis Kelce, Swift was adorned in $18,000 worth of jewelry from Stephanie Gottlieb and Shay Jewelry. Then, there was the first Kansas City Chiefs game of the new season, where the "Red" singer was decked out in accessories worth $67,000. To top it off, Swift received her engagement ring from Kelce in August 2025, with the old mine-cut diamond, reportedly up to 10 carats, estimated to be worth around $1 million (via Marie Claire Australia).

Taylor Swift travels like a boss

When you spend most of the year following a brutal touring schedule, you're entitled to a decent break. Taylor Swift's typical vacations are every bit as opulent as you'd expect them to be, and her schedule often includes five-star accommodations in some of the world's most exclusive getaway spots. The "Cruel Summer" hitmaker originally had two jets to transport her, which she paid up to $45 million a pop for: a Dassault-Breguet Mystere Falcon 900 and a Dassault Falcon 50. However, she sold one in 2020, keeping the other on hand for her travel needs.

In March 2024, Swift and Travis Kelce headed to the prestigious Harbour Island in the Bahamas, where they stayed in a luxury villa that costs $15,000 a night. While there, Swift was spotted in a Ralph Lauren baseball cap and a casual cami, giving fans a glimpse of her off-duty style. That year, the couple also headed to Lake Como, Italy, for an escape at one of the private villas of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Villa Sola Cabiati came with a private pool and arabesque gardens, and it costs $21,000 per night. On this Italian trip, Swift packed her trusty Alaïa minidress, pairing it with her Versace flats and tote for a slightly more elevated vacation style.

Swift's lavish travel wardrobe seems to match her five-star experience no matter where she goes. For instance, she was seen in a Vivienne Westwood necklace while out and about in Amsterdam, Netherlands, that July. If her Eras Tour hotel list is anything to go by (it includes the Mandarin Oriental Savoy in Zurich, Switzerland, and Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, France), we're pretty sure Swift's after-hours travel rotations were impressive to say the least.

The Eras Tour cost and earned a fortune

Taylor Swift's unprecedented Eras Tour kicked off with a budget of $10 to $20 million for its 149 shows. This might sound like a lot, but compared to the mountains of cash that it raked in, the initial budget was really peanuts. Overall, the tour earned more than $2 billion from ticket sales, plus $400 million in merchandise and $261 million for the "Taylor Swift: Eras Tour" musical documentary.

On hair, makeup, and costumes alone, Swift is said to have spent $4.3 million, including $255,000 on three outfits from Roberto Cavalli, $1.2 million on accessories, and $195,000 on shoes (via The U.S. Sun). This money wasn't enough to save Taylor Swift from some on-stage outfit mishaps at the Eras Tour, though. Then, there were the backup dancers' outfits, which cost a total of $225,000. Two makeup artists and two hairstylists were on deck for Swift, each costing $3,000 a night. There was also the cool $650,000  spent on dancer and vocalist hair, plus another $65,000 for the makeup artists who worked on the dancers and vocalists.

The "Fortnight" singer also paid $197 million in bonuses to her crew and performers between 2023 and 2025, in addition to their salaries. Swift's generosity isn't exactly new, either. Banjo player Ben Clarke, who toured with Swift when she opened for George Strait in 2007, said on TikTok, "There were artists — George Strait, whoever you want to name it — that have had bands for 30 years that weren't making as much money as Taylor was paying us" (via Parade).

Taylor Swift is the queen of lavish parties

Just as she balances touring with vacations, Taylor Swift loves to party it up when she's off the clock. Her estate at Watch Hill, Rhode Island, is frequently the setting for some of her biggest parties. In particular, Swift has been known to throw summer Independence Day bashes at her seaside pad, and has previously invited A-listers like Blake Lively, ex Tom Hiddleston, and besties Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid. In August 2024, she held a pool party with one heck of a view at the mansion, with fellow WAG Brittany Mahomes and her husband, Patrick Mahomes, in attendance. The same month, she also hosted Lively's birthday party.

Swift also likes to celebrate her own birthday with her famous buddies. Over the years, she's been spotted sharing her birthdays with the likes of Harry Styles, Zoë Kravitz, Karlie Kloss, and Beyoncé. Though details have yet to emerge about her 36th birthday bash in December 2025, Swift reportedly received flowers worth nearly $20,000 and $150,000 in accessories (from Rolex, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels) from fiance Travis Kelce in 2024 (via The U.S. Sun). We can almost guarantee that her nuptials with Kelce, said to be taking place in June 2026, will consist of more lavish affairs. Fresh off the rumor mill is the allegation that the couple are planning a multi-day celebration that's setting them back $8 million and will include every opulent detail, from international bachelorette parties to an ocean of flowers for the pair to say their vows in.

Aside from being a billionaire boss babe, she's also a seasoned fashion pro, so let's move on to the best style secrets that Taylor Swift can teach us.
