Pam Bondi's Inappropriate Outfit While Campaigning For Donald Trump Will Always Haunt Her

Pam Bondi might not have become one of the worst offenders of Mar-a-Lago face, but she hasn't had as much luck steering clear of inappropriate outfits. Campaigns are fast-paced and hands-on, kind of like active duty for politicians, so it's understandable when they attempt to give their suits and blazers a rest. However, there's still a clear line between what's appropriate and what's not, and it goes without saying that an outfit that makes people talk more about your body or clothes than your message is inappropriate for a campaign. Bondi, unfortunately, didn't get this memo.

In 2016, when Donald Trump was campaigning against Hillary Clinton, she showed up in a sweater and skirt with a slit that basically bared it all. It rode to the top of her thigh, and it was clear that she was one wrong step away from flashing the crowd. What's even more interesting about this outfit is that it was clearly intentionally put together, at least from a color standpoint. The sweater was blue, the undershirt red, and the skirt a mix of the two. Clearly, Bondi was channeling the American flag. This makes the too-high slit a major slip-up. Plus, the pieces don't even work well together, with the top evoking cool weather and the skirt channeling summer vibes.

Now, to be clear, we're huge fans of an exposed leg moment, and our compilation of the times Pam Bondi showed off her killer legs is proof. But we're also huge fans of reading the room and matching the outfit to the occasion. This skirt would have been a slam dunk at a beach or a private event, but at a campaign, it was sorely out of place.

Pam Bondi's biggest fashion mistake is pairing the wrong items

Between Pam Bondi's most inappropriate outfits and her penchant for wearing outdated suits, there's a unifying mistake, and it's all to do with not strategically picking and pairing items. Anyone who follows political fashion will tell you that Bondi does, in fact, have the occasional "who's that girl" moment, but the average outfit Bondi puts together looks a lot more like a mix of pieces she finds interesting, rather than a thoughtful combination of pieces done by someone who understands fashion and appropriate presentation. Case in point, her outfit at the U.S. Open in September 2025, which featured a lilac-colored blazer jacket with a black-and-white-striped shirt underneath. Unfortunately, the two elements simply didn't mix well.

That said, Bondi does enjoy styling herself. "I love to shop. I love fashion. I love clothes. I love decorating," she said during her 2016 interview with Elysian magazine. She may just need to approach her outfits more intentionally to avoid skewed or inappropriate looks. If we could give Bondi some advice, it'd be to focus on how to put a creative spin on corporate wear. This way, she'll be able to express herself, look amazing, and still be appropriately dressed.
