The Worst-Dressed Celebs At The 2026 Grammys
The Grammy Awards famously create the biggest night of the year for the music industry, and 2026 was no different. Legendary vocalists, notable producers, and more gathered in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1, to celebrate the best songs and albums of the last year.
Of course, the night is also known for stellar style. Remember the iconic fashion moment that Jennifer Lopez's green dress created at the 2000 Grammys? Style icons like Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter were nominated for the most prestigious awards of the night, and they looked stunning on the carpet. This wasn't surprising, though, and neither were the music-makers who decided to take risks with their outfits.
The best looks of the night included silhouettes that hugged singers' bodies in ways that felt perfectly made for them. Many outfits were embellished with shiny beading, detailed lace, and colorful sequins, while textured fabrics and loud prints were seen on others. Still, some celebs, from Heidi Klum to FKA Twigs and Addison Rae, ignored taste in favor of sensationalism or looked like they wore a last-minute outfit, which landed them among the worst-dressed of the evening.
Heidi Klum's 2026 Grammys dress looked like a strange art project
Model Heidi Klum's garment just barely resembled an article of clothing. The strange dress was basically a mold of Klum's body as if she were sculpting a figure of herself with clay, and it looked like one of her detailed Halloween costumes gone wrong. It had the appearance and shape of an undergarment but the composition of a shiny, rubber-looking material. It also felt cheap because the neckline and hem were so sloppy. We have no doubt that sitting in this couldn't have been comfortable!
Lola Young's loud outfit included an unsettling clown
If done correctly, bulky sweatsuits can make sense on a red carpet — Billie Eilish has proven it many times — but a fabric that's too niche can be off-putting. Case in point: Lola Young. Is that the mascot of "Jack in the Box" on her shirt? We also wish her makeup tied in with the color of the garment. Overall, the collar and tie are proof that Young has good fashion instincts but took it a step too far, which led to her being one of the worst-dressed celebs at the 2025 MTV VMAS, too.
Addison Rae looked like an Ikea table at the 2026 Grammys
Addison Rae went from TikTok star to serious singer, and she chose to be theatrical with her 2026 Grammys outfit. Her low-cut sleeveless white gown included a highly structural skirt that looked like a piece of furniture. Maybe she wanted a dress that could hold her Diet Pepsi? The skirt's wide shape had white fabric measuring down to Rae's toes that came up to a mini-length in the back — the opposite of a high-low dress. The color and shape slightly reminded us of Björk's iconic swan dress with its maximalism, but that probably wasn't the goal.
FKA Twigs looked lost in the forest at the 2026 Grammys
FKA Twigs seemed to be telling a story with her dress, but it didn't result in the happiest ending. Her avant-garde gown made her look like a damsel in an old-school fairy tale and could've used a modern update. The ripped fabric undermined the intricacy of the dress, leaving it feeling chaotic, and the soft fabrics contrasted with the harsh jewelry too much. Maybe this dress would've been better without the sleeves? We'll give credit where it's due, though: This dress was definitely artistic and perhaps the most creative garment on this year's red carpet.
Monet McMichael's sad, wrinkled dress looked like a garbage bag
Monet McMichael deserved so much better than this sad attempt of a dress. The thin, dingy fabric looked identical to the plastic material of a garbage bag, especially as it blew in the wind. The sewn detail on the waistline was completely overshadowed by the crinkling on the skirt, which didn't look intentional. Her chest cups also should've been better constructed to fit her body. The color choice wasn't horrible, but the reddish bronze in a slightly darker hue would've made a greater impression by highlighting McMichael's glowing skin.
Gayle King wasn't bringing home the gold in this dress
There's nothing quite like shimmering gold, and with some alterations, this may have been a win. But Gayle King was surrounded by superior examples of gold fashion, which made this dress look lackluster in comparison. The gown would've been a slam dunk if it were more fitted to King's shape. The neckline could use more tailoring as well, and that clutch wasn't the right accessory for this gown. With pretty bracelets and haircut that looked like The Rachel, this outfit has all the right pieces but was tailored and put together poorly.
