Like her "Home Town Takeover" HGTV co-star Erin Napier, who's had a head-turning transformation, Jenny Marrs has also had a stunning style upgrade through the years. Fans often want to know more details about the "Fixer to Fabulous" host's outfits, and she's open about sharing where she gets her clothes, from local shops and thrift stores in Bentonville, Arkansas, to borrowing from her HGTV producers and sister-in-law.
While Marrs is well known for her talent as an interior decorator, putting her spin on farmhouse-meets-elegant aesthetic, she's a reluctant fashion icon. In response to Instagram followers asking where she gets her clothes, she wrote in March 2025, "While I absolutely love antique and/or shopping for home decor, I absolutely loathe shopping for clothes. I want someone to hand me a pair of pants and a shirt and tell me what to wear." She may play coy when it comes to her style, but looking back at her socials tell us that she's definitely evolved over the years and should accept her fashion savvy status as an honor.
2012-2016: Jenny Marrs has a few style blips
Jenny Marrs has been active on Instagram since 2012, allowing curious fans to look back at her style transformation through the years. While she had plenty of cute outfits, critics might say that a few missed the mark. For example, the dress-over-jeans look she wore in August 2016. While the skirts-over-pants trend from the mid-aughts is one trend that we've seen pop up again, this is one look we don't expect Marrs to revisit anytime soon.
Neither is the look she wore when she posed with author Jen Hatmaker in 2014. Combining so many patterns with the crocheted scarf, the necklace, and the sweater, made the look feel chaotic as opposed to harmonious. Looking back at these images also informs us that Marrs has been comfortable with the same hairstyle –- shoulder length, subtle natural waves –- for many years.
2017-2018: Jenny Marrs' style improves with pops of pink
For whatever reason, Jenny Marrs' style game seemed to improve in 2017. For example, there's the cute wedding guest outfit she wore in August that year, when she and husband Dave Marrs attended a wedding in Minnesota. Friends praised her look, with one writing, "You so fancy! Seriously you get prettier every year! Love that dress!!!!" In response to the praise, Jenny jokingly wrote, "It's a big day ladies! I showered AND did my hair!" She tagged the owner of the now-closed Elysian clothing boutique in Bentonville. She's mentioned other local boutiques that she likes to shop at, including Main Street Threads and SOHO Clothiers.
In the fall of 2018, Jenny posted a photo of her with her kids (she had four at the time), wearing a cool-meets-casual mom outfit, perfect for a low-key hike in the woods. Her sweatshirt had a flamingo that coordinated with the laces in her sneakers. Pops of pink for the win.
2019-2021: HGTV, parenthood, and a pandemic don't leave much time for fashion
In 2019, Jenny and Dave Marrs hit the mainstream when their show "Fixer to Fabulous" debuted on HGTV. Fans tuned in for the couple's witty banter, talent, and uplifting strong family values. Did success immediately transform Jenny Marrs' look? Not really. In fact, in the years following the show's debut, Jenny seems to rarely be seen in anything other than jeans and a blouse or T-shirt. We get it. Between welcoming their fifth child, an intensive filming schedule, and a global pandemic, fashion wasn't one of her main priorities.
What we did get in 2020, was a rare glimpse of Jenny in shorts. The interior designer rarely, and we mean rarely, shows off her legs; she's almost always in long dresses or her beloved jeans. But 2020 did strange things to our routines, and our looks. More on-trend, however, was when she threw her hat into the ring with the celebrities that pulled off Canadian tuxedos. Jenny wore denim-on-denim for a golfing date with Dave in May of that year.
2022-Present: Jenny Marrs appears to be in her dress era
Maybe because she has more disposable income (see how Jenny Marrs and her family live quite a lavish life), or maybe because she's a well-known TV star now, or maybe because she's been asked more and more about her fashion, Jenny has stepped up her fashion game in recent years. She's no longer leaning into jeans as much, adding a lot more dresses to her wardrobe, including the printed number she wore when posing in a lavender field in a post that hubby Dave Marrs shared in January 2025. There's also the flattering mint wrap-dress she wore in one of his posts from May 2025.
In October 2025, she promoted her book, "Trust God, Love People," wearing a cottage-core outfit complete with white floral-print dress and tan ankle boots. Fans clearly loved the look. As one wrote on Instagram, "So excited to start the book! But your adorable dress was a distraction...I love it!"
