Karoline Leavitt Lives A More Lavish Life Than You May Expect

Karoline Leavitt, who turned 28 in August 2025, assumed one of the most visible roles in the Trump administration when she took on the job of White House press secretary at the beginning of '25. In this visible role, we've learned she likes nice things and lives a more lavish life than you might expect.

As is the case with many in the MAGA realm, Leavitt can be polarizing, and has been subjected to harsh commentary online. That includes a lot of mudslinging regarding her much-older husband. While age-gap relationships are no biggie to a majority of daters in recent years, the 32-year difference, which puts Donald and Melania Trump's 24-year gap to shame, still has people talking. So, who is Leavitt's plus one? Real estate mogul Nick Riccio, who owns dozens of properties in the northeast of the country. He's reportedly a multi-millionaire while she makes $195,200 annually, per Fox News. Both of their careers earn them good money and, from the look of it, Leavitt isn't afraid to spend — most notably on high-priced fashion.

Karoline Leavitt has an expensive fashion taste

It doesn't take label-lovers long to notice Karoline Leavitt at the White House press room podium flaunting designer wares. Maybe she's trying to channel the boss' wife by copying Melania Trump's love of expensive handbags and footwear. Leavitt has been spotted wearing Jimmy Choo heels on the White House grounds, sporting the Bing 65 style that sets you back a cool $1,125. She's also carried the Louis Vuitton Monogram Messenger bag (retails for $4,800) and the brand's Neverfull bag at work; the price tag on this is $2,170. She also regularly wears a pink-faced Gucci watch that costs in the ballpark of $1,500, depending on its specs.

For a January 2026 appearance on the "Today" show, Leavitt wore a $1,000 Alice + Olivia coat. Other brands she's been spotted wearing include Self Portrait, Ferragamo, Maje, and Zara. What do all these brands have in common? They're from the U.K. and Europe. Wait, wasn't her boss adding tariffs to these types of products in part to discourage Americans from buying foreign goods? That doesn't seem to faze this White House staffer.

Karoline Leavitt and her husband have an impressive real estate portfolio

Though Karoline Leavitt, husband Nick Riccio, and son Niko moved to Washington, D.C. when she joined the Trump administration at the beginning of 2025, it's possible the family might head back to their home in New Hampshire after she gives birth to her daughter, whom she's expecting to arrive in May 2026. They have their choice of properties if they so desire, including the one where she brought baby Niko home to.

Before meeting Leavitt, Riccio worked his way from destitute to running a reportedly multi-million dollar real estate company in New Hampshire. He bought run-down properties in Hampton Beach and helped revitalize the area to make it more attractive to families and vacationers. His company reportedly owns properties in other parts of the Northeast, including in Boston and the White Mountains. In his Hampton Beach house, he stores pricey sports memorabilia, including an autographed photo of Larry Bird and a pair of Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves.

Her lavish life continues with travel and an extravagant wedding

Thanks to her position in the White House, Karoline Leavitt has seen a lot more of the world, including the Middle East and the U.K. in 2025. But she appears to have been an avid traveler before her press secretary stint, hitting (and posting about) high-end outposts Nantucket, Palm Beach, Lake Tahoe, and the Dominican Republic in recent years.

What about her wedding to Riccio — was it local or destination? They kept it near home. Despite red flags in Leavitt's marriage, per our love coach, the couple, who've been together since 2023, didn't pinch pennies for their big day. In January 2025, the couple said "I do" at the posh Wentworth By the Sea Country Club, in Rye, New Hampshire. Guests, dressed in black tie, were offered a choice of filet mignon or lobster for dinner. Seems no expense was spared by this lavish couple.
