Kelly Osbourne's Dramatic Weight Loss & 'Ozempic Hands' Caused A Stir Among Fans
According to skeptics and naysayers, the complete weight-loss transformation of Kelly Osbourne couldn't have happened without Ozempic. The ones who believe that the "Fashion Police" alum relied on the Hollywood-favorite weight loss drug to achieve her transformation have made their case by repeatedly claiming that she has developed an "Ozempic face," which is one of the many risks of the diabetes drug. In fact, some have even gone so far as to speculate that Osbourne has even got a case of "Ozempic hands."
When the reality TV star shared a photo of herself on Instagram in February 2026, one commenter couldn't help but notice that "Her hands are too big for her body now!" On a similar note, someone else opined that Osbourne's hands stood out in the picture because they almost seemed bigger than her waist. One fan was particularly concerned about the reddish tint on her hands because they believed it pointed to grave health issues. For others, the ultimate takeaway from the photo was that Osbourne had gone overboard with her Ozempic use.
According to Bolt Pharmacy, Ozempic hands aren't a scientifically recognized side effect of the diabetes drug. Instead, it's a colloquial term used to describe how Ozempic could make the internal structure of the hands, including the tendons and veins, appear more visible. Notably, in a chat with Verywell Health, Marschall S. Runge, MD, proclaimed that Ozempic could cause a noticeable loss of volume in the hands, since their thinner layer of fat is more prone to sagging. However, Osbourne has publicly claimed that Ozempic didn't factor into her weight loss at all.
Kelly Osbourne has already explained the reasons for her weight loss
In an April 2024 interview with "Extra," Kelly Osbourne asserted that she had achieved an 85-pound weight loss after the birth of her son in 2022 by simply not consuming carbohydrates and sugar. To put an even finer point on the matter, she insisted that she had never taken Ozempic at any point in her weight loss journey. However, that doesn't mean that her transformation was 100 percent natural.
During a 2020 appearance on the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, Osbourne shared that a gastric sleeve surgery had aided her transformation. However, she was quick to note that the procedure wasn't a magic fix, since she had to follow a diet and exercise regimen afterward to achieve the results she wanted. Additionally, when the reality TV star spoke at a panel in May 2025, she asserted that diet and exercise alone weren't enough to achieve her transformation, adding, "You have to change your brain" (via People). She added, "You have to come to peace and acceptance about where you are in your life before you can start."
Unfortunately, all of that hasn't stopped people from calling her out for being a celebrity who looks different after taking weight loss medications like Ozempic. Osbourne finally pushed back against the Ozempic chatter in a since-deleted December 2025 Instagram post, saying, "My dad just died, and I'm doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family" (via Page Six). Osbourne had only two scathing words for people who called her out for taking Ozempic: "F*** off."
