Pam Bondi's Biggest Makeup Mistakes Will Always Haunt Her

As the current U.S. attorney general, Pam Bondi is at the forefront of all the legal happenings taking place during the Trump administration. That means court hearings, briefings, and television appearances — all of which require her to look poised and collected for the cameras. That doesn't mean she always makes the right decisions when it comes to her style, and Bondi has worn some of the most inappropriate outfits in public. Her makeup hasn't fared that well, either, and while the right-wing politician hasn't had a MAGA face transformation you have to see to believe, she could do with some tweaks when it comes to her makeup application.

Having had over a decade of makeup experience, I can appreciate that Bondi usually keeps her look simple. It seems her go-to is just some mascara, foundation, and light pink lipstick. However, she tends to be heavy-handed when it comes to her lashes, and her foundation formula is all wrong for her skin type. While primping may not be high on her list of concerns, it's clear Bondi needs to adjust her beauty repertoire before she continues to make more of her biggest makeup mistakes.

Pam Bondi needed to ease up on the mascara

With her fair coloring and blond hair, Pam Bondi definitely needs mascara to bring out her eyes. Judging by her brows and visible roots, her real hair color is an ashy brown, which means the black mascara color is the right choice. What isn't, however, is the overload of product that resulted in visibly clumpy lashes during a White House meeting in October 2025. It looked like Bondi hastily applied at least three coats without letting them dry in between, and she could have used a fine-toothed lash comb as well.

What Bondi needs to know is that the perfect time to wait between mascara swipes to avoid clumps and flakes is around 15 to 30 seconds. Applying a second coat too soon can result in tacky lashes that'll adhere together once dry. The mascara wand matters as well — silicone brushes are best for distributing the product evenly, while also combing the lashes at the same time. We all want gorgeous, thick lashes, but if your clumps are the first thing people notice, it's time to hone your mascara skills.

Pam Bondi's skin looked painfully dry

Pam Bondi found herself in the hot seat while in court on February 11, 2026 and it looked like her skin felt the heat as well. A close-up of her face showed extremely dry skin that was exacerbated by matte foundation, with not a drop of glow or dew. At 60 years old, Bondi has already lost some elasticity in her skin, and it's so important to keep it moisturized. A refreshing toner, followed by a hydrating daytime face cream and/or serum, will do wonders, because a good foundation can't cover up bad skin.

Once the face is properly prepped, Bondi needs to apply a dewy foundation, preferably one with a silicone base, as it blurs fine lines and large pores. She should also avoid powdering the whole face, and instead, focus on oily spots like the nose and forehead. A nice face mist is also good to have in your handbag for a refreshing spritz during the day, which Bondi desperately needs, especially while under the spotlight.

Pam Bondi's foundation was too warm

It seems Pam Bondi just can't get her foundation right. Not only does she use an overly drying formula, but she also chooses a shade much too warm for her cool undertone. Early in October 2025, the attorney general testified in court with her face all made up, and it was clear that her face had a bronze hue compared to her neck and chest. It's easy to get your foundation color wrong, especially when testing it in bad lighting. Additionally, you don't want to match your face to a tee, as it can be a different shade than the rest of your body. Instead, test the color on your jawline and see if it blends seamlessly into your neck. If you can't see a clear demarcation, you have the right foundation color.

If Bondi didn't have another bottle of foundation that matched her skin tone that day, she could have faked it by applying a dusting of bronzer to her neck and chest. Or, a drop of foundation to her body lotion would make an instant tinted moisturizer that would even out Bondi's skin while giving her a natural glow. I get that the Department of Justice head had more pressing matters to worry about that day, but a two-minute hack would have saved her from a makeup mistake that was preserved on camera for all to see.
