Bindi Irwin Is So Stunning Without Makeup
As a zookeeper, conservationist, TV personality, and mom, Bindi Irwin is known for much more than her signature style. Bindi, daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, typically cares more about lighting up the world with her wildlife efforts than looking lit with a face full of makeup, so she isn't afraid to show off her bare-faced snaps on Instagram. A makeup-free selfie that the "Dancing with the Stars" alum posted to Instagram in August 2025 in honor of her journey with endometriosis shows her skin looking even and glowing, and her eyes sparkling in the sun. Interestingly, Bindi Irwin's complete transformation reveals that going makeup-free isn't entirely new for the animal lover, either.
Back in 2015, she shared a bare-faced pic to Instagram, dedicating it to girls struggling with feeling beautiful. "This photo is to all the gorgeous girls out there," she wrote in the caption. "No makeup. No filter. Me. You are beautiful. Let your inner light shine." She added that she posted the photo to inspire girls to "let their true beauty out" in a world that "puts way too much pressure on girls to be perfect." Fans commented in support, with one writing, "[You're] so beautiful even without any makeup or any filters." We can safely assume that we'll get to see many more natural looks from Bindi in the future, since the fuss-free aesthetic seems to be her go-to. "I am not fond of having to put on makeup and a dress and shave my legs," she admitted on Kylie Kelce's podcast "Not Gonna Lie" in June 2025, per TikTok. "I just want to show up everywhere in my khaki and feel comfy."
How Bindi Irwin creates her no-makeup makeup look
Since Bindi Irwin's general image is rooted in laid-back styling, she appears to go makeup-free often. But a closer look through photos and videos of the star in recent years reveals that she does rock some makeup. There are times when she truly goes completely natural (and looks fresh-faced without makeup), but her most common beauty move is a swipe of almost undetectable eye and brow products paired with minimal face coverage.
"You'll never catch me without my eyeliner because I love a good eyeliner but usually I'm pretty natural," she told Australia's 9Honey in 2019. But for most work days and promotional appearances, she sticks to the liner and not much else. "Okay, so I don't pluck my brows either," she confessed. "They are just natural. I just use a little bit of shadow with them." Later in the 9Honey interview, she listed her favorite beauty product as Chapstick, admitting that she always carries it in her pocket, and confirmed that her style muse is her mom, Terri Irwin.
Whether she's rocking minimal makeup or none at all, Bindi manages to look phenomenal on the regular. She puts that down not to her great skin, but to something that many people forget when searching for beauty. "Probably my determination to make a difference on the planet," she shared with 9Honey, musing on what gives her such a glow. "I think your inner glow shines outward."
