Sarah Huckabee Sanders might not be as loud as the other women in the MAGA world, but over the past decade, she's been going through hard-to-miss changes. She went from White House press secretary to Arkansas governor, and like most MAGA women, decided to revamp her entire appearance. It started with an impressive weight loss journey, but eventually segued into something a lot less inspirational: a MAGA makeover.
Sanders' face transformation might not be as drastic as some of the unbelievable MAGA face transformations you have to see to believe, but the change is glaringly obvious when you consider her before and after pics. She has ditched her typically muted makeup routine and shifted to the MAGA-standard heavy brows, full coverage foundation, and blush. There's also the increased upper lip volume, which looks a lot like lip filler or, at least, overdrawn lips.
Now, we're not dunking on this transformation, and we'd dare say some parts of her makeover are upgrades, especially since Sanders has a history of beauty and makeup mistakes. But we've seen this film before, and we certainly didn't like the ending, because the MAGA makeover is only a few steps away from the Mar-a-Lago face.
The Mar-a-Lago face wouldn't work for Sarah Huckabee Sanders
The MAGA makeover has a few identifying markers, such as increased makeup, hair changes, and non-invasive aesthetic procedures like filler and Botox. But for most women in Trump world, the MAGA makeover is only a stepping stone to the Mar-a-Lago face, which includes heavier makeup, longer extensions, more filler and Botox, and in many cases, plastic surgery.
This is why we can't help but wonder if this MAGA makeover is a foretelling of Sarah Huckabee Sanders' future beauty plans. After all, judging by the pics, many of the worst offenders of the Mar-a-Lago face trend started this way. Considering what Sanders looks like makeup-free, a Mar-a-Lago face makeover would be a grievous mistake. She has naturally soft features that would absolutely clash with the stiff, soulless template of the Mar-a-Lago face. A better beauty strategy for the governor would be to throw the MAGA face manual away and invest in a makeup artist who would actually accentuate her features and not simply do what everyone else seems to be doing.
