Before-And-After Pics Of Jenna Bush Hager's Weight Loss & What She's Said About Her Health
Every day, more and more celebrities look totally different after taking weight loss drugs like Ozempic. However, Jenna Bush Hager isn't one of them. Looking at photos of the "Today" host from 2020 and 2026, it's obvious that her weight loss transformation left a subtle yet noticeable mark. The subtle loss of fullness in Bush Hager's cheeks has given her a more defined facial structure with a sharper jawline and a more pronounced chin. Although the TV personality looks undeniably beautiful in both photos, her face seems to be glowing with confidence in the after snap. Additionally, Hager appears to have grown more comfortable with rocking figure-hugging clothes.
In a world where numerous stars have developed Ozempic face, which is one of the many risks of the diabetes drug, an understated transformation like Bush Hager's is a breath of fresh air. Notably, during a September 2025 episode of "Today with Jenna & Friends," the talk show host confirmed that GLP-1 drugs hadn't aided in her journey, explaining, "I haven't done it because I want to eat, you know? Among other reasons" (via People).
While Bush Hager discussed her transformation with Hoda Kotb during a January 2022 episode of "Today," she shared that it had taken six months of effort for her to see visible results. The former first daughter also stressed that she had no problems with her transformation being a slow climb because she recognized that it was only natural for her body to work differently as she grew older. Bush Hager also knew that her body wouldn't look the same after having three children. And she had no qualms about those natural changes (via People).
Weight loss wasn't the driving force for Jenna Bush Hager's transformation
In a 2016 essay for Today, Jenna Bush Hager shared that she had been prompted to do some inner reflection after realizing that her 10-year-old self had penned a diary entry expressing a desire to shed 4 lbs. As the talk show host reflected on how her desire to lose weight had persisted into her 20s, she realized that it was not her number one priority in her 30s. Raising her children had taken over the top spot.
However, that didn't mean that Bush Hager had no desire to change, because she did indeed want to be the strongest version of herself to care for her three children. And so, she made exercising a priority. During an April 2025 chat with Today, the former first daughter shared that she tried her best to hit the gym four days a week. There, she would do her version of the 12-3-30 workout method, choosing to walk on a treadmill three times per week for 45 minutes.
To give her upper body a workout, she would hold light weights during the walk. As for her diet, she told Women's Health in January 2024 that she practiced intermittent fasting and focused on eating well-balanced, nutrient-dense foods for her meals. While reflecting on her weight loss transformation on a March 2023 "Today" episode, Bush Hager said, "[Women's health] is not just about looking skinny or looking a certain way or fitting into your jeans, it's about feeling healthy all the way around." Ultimately, Bush Hager couldn't be happier that she had achieved her transformation through focusing on her well-being.
