Adrienne Bailon was only 18 years old when she played the role of Chanel "Chuchie" Simmons in the 2003 Disney flick "The Cheetah Girls." She remained a relatively stable fixture in the media landscape in the years that followed and even won a Daytime Emmy in 2018 for her work as a talk-show host on "The Real." But some may not recognize her as the same girl who starred in "The Cheetah Girls" because of how much her face has transformed over the years.
The softer features of her face from her Disney days have all but disappeared and given way to a more angular look. To better understand the Disney alum's face transformation, Glam spoke to board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Raja Mohan. After looking at photos of Bailon over the years, Dr. Mohan says in our exclusive chat that "she [still] appears very youthful and beautiful." He adds, "I do not suspect she has had surgery but she may have had non surgical treatments such as neuromodulators like Botox, or dermal fillers for volume. She likely had an excellent skincare regimen."
Dr. Mohan is absolutely right about Bailon having an excellent skincare routine; though her face is more sculpted, she's maintained her natural beauty. In an April 2019 YouTube video, Bailon shared that she begins her nighttime skincare routine by thoroughly cleansing her face to completely rid it of makeup. Then, she goes in with Dior's One Essential Mist-Lotion Toner, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer, and Forever Flawless' Pinkness Beauty Oil. A night cream from By Terry follows to help combat the signs of aging. To give her skin an extra boost of hydration, Bailon frequently sleeps wearing Glossier's Moisturizing Moon Mask, Laniege's Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask, and KNC Beauty's Overnight Lip Mask.
Adrienne Bailon had a breast augmentation during her time on The Cheetah Girls
During Dr. Raja Mohan's exclusive chat with Glam, he reveals that Adrienne Bailon was right to "stay conservative" and stick to her current skincare routine rather than going overboard with plastic surgery as her skin naturally matured. However, Dr. Mohan also believes that she could benefit from less invasive facial-rejuvenation procedures like a lower facelift or a neck lift in the future.
In addition to stating that Bailon may have undergone weight-loss treatments, the board-certified plastic surgeon also notes, "I believe she has reported a history of breast augmentation and requiring a revisionary procedure to improve the aesthetics of her breasts." We have seen many celebrities confess to plastic surgery after years of denying it. However, Bailon is actually one of the celebrities who have opened up about their plastic surgery experiences, revealing that she went under the knife in an August 2013 episode of "The Real." The Disney alum shared that she had decided to get breast implants at the age of 19, around the time she filmed "The Cheetah Girls 2," because she wanted to embrace her sexuality as she grew into adulthood.
However, the procedure didn't quite go as planned because the doctor gave her double D implants instead of the Bs she requested. Thanks to the surgery, Bailon went from "one insecurity to another insecurity." Ultimately, Bailon had her implants removed and joined the list of celebrities who regretted their plastic surgery tune-ups. At some point, Bailon gave her natural assets a boost with a breast lift, which, according to our plastic surgeon, is one of the few cosmetic procedures with the shortest downtimes.
