Side-By-Side Pics Highlight Rebecca Gayheart's Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery didn't render Rebecca Gayheart completely unrecognizable. Looking at photos of the "Jawbreaker" star from 2024 and 2025, it's hard to deny that her face looks more taut, especially in the area around her cheeks. Due to the increased skin tightness, her eyes also appear more open in the after photos. Even her jaw looks more defined in the 2025 snap. As a whole, the changes in her face are more subtle than drastic. And that's a rare thing in a world where many of Gayheart's fellow famous '90s actors are practically unrecognizable, largely due to cosmetic procedures.

While several of her peers are celebrities who have admitted to plastic surgery after years of denying it, Gayheart has taken a refreshingly honest approach to the subject. In an October 2025 video shared on her Instagram, she asked followers to guess if her transformation was due to getting adequate sleep, her two children living harmoniously for a week, or a mini facelift from a plastic surgeon. Needless to say, the third option was the right guess. Gayheart also opened up about her plastic surgery when she appeared on the "Broad Ideas" podcast in November 2025.

The "Scream 2" actor shared that she had gone under the knife in July 2025, explaining, "I've had a rough couple of years, and ... the gravity really hit, like, two years ago at like 52. I was like, 'Wow, this is bad.'" She had ultimately opted for a mini facelift to tighten the skin around her cheeks and chin and an upper blepharoplasty to fix what she perceived as droopiness in one of her eyes.

Rebecca Gayheart doesn't want her transformation to set unrealistic expectations for women her age

During Rebecca Gayheart's appearance on the "Broad Ideas" podcast, she explained why she had no qualms about candidly talking about her cosmetic procedures, saying, "I'm very open about it because I feel that we have to be ... it's like, why are we trying to pretend like we aren't aging?" On a similar note, she didn't want women in their 50s to think that losing skin elasticity in the area around the cheeks was abnormal.

After stating that aging naturally could yield stunning results, she stressed, "It was important for me to look and feel a little better." Gayheart had been equally open about her plastic surgery with her teen daughters without bombarding them with information. She recalled how she had reassured them that she wouldn't undergo anything that could have dire consequences and told them: "Listen, this is possibly going to make me feel better about myself. And I think that's okay." Gayheart ultimately couldn't be happier that she had done something that boosted her self-confidence.

However, the "Urban Legend" star's transformation wasn't solely limited to her looks. Speaking to The Cut in December 2025, Rebecca Gayheart opened up about her unconventional relationship with Eric Dane before his death. While she supported her husband (from whom she had been separated) through his ALS diagnosis and tended to their daughters, she realized that she needed to also prioritize her own life and happiness. Although Gayheart figured the world would label her selfish, she knew that she was setting a good example for her daughters by teaching them to fill their own cup first.
