6 Celebs Who've Been Clear About Not Taking Ozempic Or Other Weight-Loss Drugs
As the Ozempic craze has taken over Hollywood, many A-listers have found themselves facing a brand new inconvenience. In the past, when a celebrity debuted a weight-loss transformation, the internet lauded them for putting in the hard work to achieve their goals. Now, whenever a celebrity shows off a slimmed-down look, all they get is an influx of comments accusing them of using Ozempic. As the tired internet discourse plays out once again, a celebrity might step forward and clearly state that they have no shame about achieving their transformation through GLP-1 medication.
Other times, they will insist that their transformation was through their own hard work. Unfortunately, the internet almost always has a tough time believing the latter. Netizens argue that the celebrity has a clear case of the Ozempic face, and criticize them for not being open about using the diabetes drug. However, many of these doubters are unaware that Ozempic face can happen even when one has a natural weight-loss transformation.
In a chat with the Cleveland Clinic, endocrinologist Vinni Makin, M.D., described Ozempic face by saying, "It's characterized by gauntness, sunken cheeks, new wrinkles and loose skin on the face and neck." However, those changes are brought on by rapid weight loss and not the medication itself. So, even if a person were to lose a significant amount of weight over a short period through natural means or surgery, their face could undergo similar changes. With that in mind, it becomes easier to believe the celebrities who have flat-out refused to give Ozempic any credit for their weight-loss transformations.
Kelly Osbourne clapped back at people who have speculated that she used Ozempic
Kelly Osbourne's complete weight-loss transformation gave rise to Ozempic rumors. The "Fashion Police" alum attempted to put an end to the speculation once and for all in April 2024, telling Extra TV, "I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. I don't know where that came from." Kelly further divulged that she had managed to lose 85 pounds after welcoming her son in 2022 by eliminating sugar and carbohydrates from her diet. The reality TV star also revealed that she had tightened the skin on her face, neck, and stomach through EMFACE and EMSCULPT treatments.
Despite that blatant denial, people still find it hard to ignore how side-by-side pics of Kelly Osbourne highlight her wild face transformation. By December 2025, the fashion critic felt it necessary to share a since-deleted Instagram post telling the speculators to "F*** off" (via USA Today).
After specifically calling out people who were saying that Ozempic had negatively altered her appearance, Kelly said, "My dad just died, and I'm doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family." Notably, when Sharon Osbourne appeared on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" in December 2025, she shared that her daughter was unable to eat while she was grieving the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July 2025. Once again, all that information wasn't enough to stop folks from wondering if Kelly Osbourne's face pics at the 2026 Brit Awards were edited since they showed a significant loss of volume.
Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian maintained that their weight loss was all natural
Since the Kardashians have caused a stir by adopting some controversial body trends, netizens were quick to assume that they would also jump on the Ozempic train. However, that apparently wasn't the case among the women in the family. When Khloé Kardashian shared an ab-baring photo of herself on Instagram in January 2023, one commenter criticized her for taking GLP-1 medication to achieve her transformation. The reality TV star quickly clapped back by writing, "Let's not discredit my years of working out. I get up 5 days a week at 6am to train. Please stop with your assumptions."
In a December 2024 Bustle interview, Khloé similarly rolled her eyes at people who assumed she used a quick fix to lose weight because the process took nearly a decade. The socialite also admitted that she wished the Ozempic trend was in full swing when she'd first started her weight-loss journey. Ultimately, she couldn't understand why people got all up in arms about Ozempic use when it was something that could help people feel more confident in their own skin.
Needless to say, Khloé isn't the only member of the family to have fended off Ozempic allegations. In an August 2024 interview with British Vogue, Kylie Jenner expressed her annoyance with those who compared more recent photos of her to how she looked after giving birth to make a point about her taking weight-loss drugs. Jenner maintained that her weight had fluctuated naturally, as she had given birth to two children and then practiced a regular exercise regimen.
Jessica Simpson claimed that 'willpower' was the reason for her weight loss
According to some people, Jessica Simpson is among the ranks of celebs who look totally different after using weight-loss medications like Ozempic. However, during a July 2023 interview with Bustle, the singer insisted that the diabetes drug had played no part in her transformation. Instead, she chalked up her weight loss to her own "willpower." In a September 2019 chat with People, Simpson's personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, similarly shared that Simpson had embarked on a natural weight-loss journey shortly after welcoming her third child in 2019.
Pasternak explained that Simpson's diet consisted of three meals a day, two snacks, and plenty of room for soul-nourishing food. Instead of cutting out meals from her diet, Simpson and her trainer had found creative ways to make them more nutrient-dense. As for exercise, Simpson started off with 6,000 steps a day, worked her way to 12,000 steps, and then eventually graduated to 45-minute gym sessions.
During an April 2021 appearance on "Today," "The Dukes of Hazzard" star also revealed that she did not own a scale, adding, "I have no idea how much I weigh. Like, I just want to feel good and be able to zip my pants up. If I don't, I have another size. I have every size." Simpson shared a similar sentiment in her Bustle interview, saying, "I am fortunate to have been every size."
Ice Spice used sass to put an end to the Ozempic chatter
Some people have found it difficult to believe that Ice Spice could have achieved one of the biggest celebrity transformations of 2024 without the help of a GLP-1 drug. However, the rapper has repeatedly brushed off the speculation. During an August 2024 discussion hosted on X Spaces, Ice Spice stated that she wished the word "Ozempic" had never entered the dictionary of anyone on the internet (via People).
After claiming that she had little to no idea what the GLP-1 medication was, the rapper directly addressed the critics without mincing her words, saying, "It's called the gym. It's called eating healthy. It's called being on tour." Somewhat surprisingly, that clapback wasn't enough to put an end to the speculation for good. In February 2026, one X user snarked that an exercise video that Ice Spice had shared only served as further proof that she had used Ozempic to achieve her weight-loss transformation (via People).
This time around, the Grammy nominee used candor instead of sass, responding, "Na it was depression im better now tho." Then, in November 2025, the "Princess Diana" rapper shared a video of herself showing off her more pronounced curves and captioned it, "So happy to be thick ASF again" (via Complex).
Ashley Benson didn't want people to write off the hard work that went into her transformation
In June 2024, Ashley Benson garnered Ozempic allegations by simply posting a mirror selfie showcasing her casual outfit of the day. While one commenter wondered how she had achieved her figure only three months after welcoming a child, another person snarked that she had used Ozempic. The "Pretty Little Liars" star reposted a screenshot of those comments to her Instagram Stories and wrote, "I know a lot of people take ozempic and that's totally fine. To each their own. But don't discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine" (via People).
Benson continued, "Getting back to work forced me to focus on my health and working out and I wanted to feel confident and good about myself." Benson ended her post by crediting Melissa Wood-Tepperberg's app for her transformation, hinting that she had done at-home Pilates workouts to get some exercise after giving birth. In the past, Benson has made it abundantly clear that exercising regularly is tremendously important to her. In a February 2016 interview with Health, the "Spring Breakers" star shared that her weekly workout routine typically consisted of three, hour-long Pilates sessions and two or three boxing or Soul Cycle sessions (via E! News).
Although Benson's hectic schedule often rendered her too tired to work out, she still tried to get some movement in because it almost always improved her sense of self. According to People, Benson was also a fan of Speedplay, an excruciating 60-minute high-intensity interval training class in which people did 9-minute circuits of exercises that got the heart pumping.
