Filter-Free Pics Of Vanessa Trump Expose Her Biggest Makeup Mistakes

Vanessa Trump's face has changed over the years, but one thing that's remained the same is her knack for applying makeup all wrong. The former model was blessed with great features, but since she was linked to Donald Trump Jr., it seems she went with the heavy-handed makeup the clan seems to favor in their partners. While Vanessa divorced Don Jr. in 2018 and hasn't been as prominent in the media since, she was firmly attached to her then-husband for years, with all her biggest makeup mistakes on display.

As a longtime makeup artist, it's easy to see where Vanessa went wrong with her applications, with her flubs being painfully obvious. It's clear she loves the Republican makeup aesthetic, which includes heavily bronzed skin, bold eyebrows, and a thick layer of foundation. While the mom of five doesn't have the same level of Erika Kirk's obvious eyebrow blindness, the rest of Vanessa's makeup skills definitely need some fine-tuning.

Vanessa Trump's self-tanner overload

It's no secret that the Trump family loves to look tan, whether they're hanging out in their Florida Mar-a-Lago estate or talking politics in Washington, D.C. This pic of Vanessa Trump showed her at the 2024 Republican National Convention looking at least 10 shades darker than her natural skin tone, which only stood out more against her streaky blond highlights. The brown shade looked completely off, particularly as Vanessa stood next to her daughter, Kai Trump, who sported a more porcelain color. This was definitely the work of a fake tan, as a normal sun-kissed look wouldn't be as muddy.

Vanessa Trump was channeling her father-in-law with her orange makeup

We all know how fond of orange makeup Donald Trump seemingly is, and apparently, it rubbed off on Vanessa Trump at a debate in October 2016. Her face took an almost neon hue as she sat next to Lara Trump, with much of the color concentrated on Vanessa's forehead, cheeks, and chin. It looked like she had applied bronzer over her foundation, but chose one that was much too warm and dark for her skin tone. If you look at her neck, you can clearly see that she veers on the neutral to cool side, so going overly bronze is just not a natural look for the Floridian.

Vanessa Trump's blotchy makeup needed a redo

I'm not sure if Vanessa Trump hastily applied her makeup for the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April 2016, but it sure looked that way. From her blotchy bronzer to streaky, misplaced blush, everything looked haphazardly thrown together at the last minute. For one, her gray eyeshadow wasn't blended enough and was applied way too high above her crease. Additionally, her concealer was way too light, which was only highlighted by the peachy blush that sat too low on her cheeks. Everything about this look screamed amateur makeup.

Vanessa Trump failed to get a good foundation match

As a makeup artist, I understand how hard it is to match foundation to a person's skin. Sometimes, it takes two or three swatches to get the perfect color, but I've never been so egregiously off as Vanessa Trump at a 2010 gala. Her face was noticeably darker than the rest of her body, and although the application was gorgeous, either a lighter foundation or some body makeup was needed. If she wanted to look tan, adding bronzing drops into her beauty routine via some body lotion would have made her look more cohesive.

Vanessa Trump's bad '80s makeup was a frosty mess

Looking at Vanessa Trump's shiny purple shadow and bright pink gloss, one would assume this pic was from the '80s, but it was actually taken in 2014. Her choice of shimmery pastel makeup was odd, given that the trend at the time was matte skin baked with powder and neutral to berry lipstick colors. She may have tried to go for a fun spring look, but sadly, it just appeared as if she let one of her kids experiment on her with their play makeup kit.

Vanessa Trump's lower eyeliner was doing the most

Vanessa Trump went for a soft glam look at the Operation Smile Gala in 2012 with fluffy brows and a soft, rosy lip gloss. What stood out, however, was the thick black eyeliner on her lower lids that was drawn on way too heavily. It looked like she had applied just a very thin line on top, which made her eyes look unbalanced, and dragged her features down. If she wanted some definition, a thicker line on her top lids and a very slight smudged liner on her lower lids would have evened everything out.
