Amanda Bynes Isn't Afraid To Show Off Her Ozempic Transformation
On June 22, 2025, Amanda Bynes posted an Instagram Story to share that she was about to start taking Ozempic on her journey to shed 40 lbs. According to her, losing that weight would make her "look better in paparazzi pictures" (via People). In her December 2025 update, Bynes all but confirmed that Ozempic was having its intended effect on her by sharing a paparazzi snap of herself on Instagram Stories.
Under the photo, the Nickelodeon alum wrote that she had previously steered clear of sharing papped snaps of herself because she disliked how she looked in them on account of her weight. However, she found that particular photo to be "really inspiring," possibly because it gave a clearer picture of her 28-lb. weight loss (via People). In paparazzi pictures taken in March 2026, Bynes appeared to have developed an even slimmer figure.

By no means is Bynes one of those celebrities who look totally different after taking weight-loss drugs like Ozempic. However, side-by-side photos of the former actor taken before she started taking Ozempic in 2025 and 2026 do highlight how the loss of volume in her cheeks altered her facial structure and left her with a more defined jawline. By Bynes' own admission, she couldn't be happier with how Ozempic transformed her. "I'm really glad that I'm on the injection. It's really working for me, and I'm trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute," Bynes wrote in a November 2025 Instagram Story (via BuzzFeed).
Amanda Bynes tried to lose weight through lifestyle changes in 2024
In a March 2024 Instagram Story, Amanda Bynes shared that she had experienced a 20-lb. weight gain over the course of a couple of months due to depression. Back then, she sought to achieve a 50-lb. weight loss by pushing herself to exercise and consuming a nutrient-dense diet (via People). Then, in November 2024, the former child actor shared an update on her Stories, per People, to tell her followers that she had managed to shed 6 lbs.
While it may seem like Bynes has bid farewell to the lifestyle habits that may help one live longer after hopping on the Ozempic train, nutritionist Monica Partier told the Daily Mail that might not be the case. After looking at paparazzi snaps of Bynes from 2026, Partier proclaimed that her healthy-looking skin could be a sign that her diet was packed with nutrient-dense foods. The nutritionist also believed that Bynes may have prevented the loss of skin elasticity, which typically comes with the rapid weight loss brought on by GLP-1 drugs, by working out.
In the past, Bynes had gone to some extreme lengths to lose weight. In a November 2018 Paper interview, the child star who grew up to be gorgeous revealed that she had started taking Adderall in her younger years after reading a magazine article dubbing it "the new skinny pill." By her own admission, she eventually began to "abuse" the drug. Additionally, in an April 2013 post on X (formerly Twitter), Bynes confirmed that she experienced weight fluctuations due to an eating disorder (via Los Angeles Times). Needless to say, Bynes' approach to weight loss in 2024 and 2025 sounds much healthier.
