Bettina Anderson's Bridal Shower Was A Fashion Disaster For The Trump Ladies

The Trump family is about to welcome another member, as socialite Bettina Anderson is engaged to marry Donald Trump Jr. Bettina Anderson was used to living a wildly lavish life even before her courtship with Don Jr., so it's no surprise that her bridal shower was a massive affair. On April 12, 2026, a huge celebration was thrown at Mar-a-Lago for the bride-to-be. The Trump daughters and daughter-in-law attended, as well as a slew of Republican figures and family friends. Even Erika Kirk was at the bridal shower, hitting a new low when it comes to hair extension slumps. Anderson posed for a photo with her future sisters-in-law, making it clear how different the women are when it comes to style and taste. Lara Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Ivanka Trump all dressed in garments that were formal, but far from fashion wins.

Anderson dressed in a slimming white gown with beading on the top panel and matching kitten heels, while the Trump ladies wore dresses that differed in color, texture, and length. Solid colors were deemed too ordinary, as most guests dressed in floral prints to match the multicolored flowers that filled the room. Peasant-style dresses, ruffles, and details of greenery reigned supreme in the crowd of partygoers. This made the Trumps stand out all the more in their outfits — none of which delivered on the proper aesthetic for the event. Ivanka's outdated accent piece, Tiffany's poor proportionality, and Lara's lack of color coordination made for awkward family photo op.

Ivanka Trump distracted from the future bride with an out-of-date embellishment

Ivanka Trump should know a lot about fashion given that she used to have her own clothing brand and has regularly attend the Met Gala. But her previous life in the fashion world obviously didn't come to mind when picking out an outfit for Bettina Anderson's bridal shower. Ivanka wore a light bustier dress that included brown paisley patterning throughout, complete with a thin sash tied around her waist. Her garment's loud pattern felt bohemian, which didn't match the tone of the event or its high-end venue. The thin scarf being used as a belt harkened way back to the 2000s when skinny scarves were a regular Y2K accessory. By featuring it front and center, it felt like Ivanka was trying to pull focus from the bride-to-be.

Ivanka's teenage daughter Arabella Kushner was also present for the affair and wore a cute white sundress that included an empire silhouette. Blue tropical illustration was printed on the skirt while the outfit was completed with strappy white heels. The dress looked darling on her, but it was clear that Ivanka neglected to teach her daughter the cardinal rule of wedding festivities: all shades of while should be off-limits as the color is solely for the bride herself to wear.

Tiffany Trump's dress was completely unflattering

Tiffany Trump wore a dainty strapless knee-length midi dress for Bettina Anderson's bridal shower. By looking at the two, the shape of their outfits may look similar at first glance. But the youngest Trump daughter managed to falter in every area that Anderson got right. Tiffany's dress did absolutely nothing for her body — if anything, looking bulky on her small frame. It consisted of sheer light blue lace over a nude underskirt, but the concealed portion of the undergarment was awkwardly cut off at the skirt's midpoint. The many layers of see-through fabric gave the appearance that Tiffany was wearing shorts underneath her dress. This made the dress look unfinished and also clashed against her delicate complexion, making her skin tone look inconsistent.

The proportions of the dress also made the mom of one look shorter. Based on the fitted points of the dress, vertical flow is cut off just under her bust, which breaks the silhouette. The boxy top of the dress flattens her chest rather than accentuating it. On the skirt, the hemline cuts off at her knees which disconnects the vertical line of her legs to make them look shorter. The look was worsened by pointed toe gold heels that in no way coordinated with Tiffany's gown. The shiny, reflective effect looked artificial and cheap, as if they were purchased at a party store rather than a posh footwear retailer.

Lara Trump struggled to look pretty in pink

Eric Trump's wife, Lara Trump, was all smiles as she celebrated Bettina Anderson joining the family. Her bridal shower outfit included a short sleeve button-down blue dress with small fuchsia sunbeams throughout. Lara attempted to accessorize with elements that would match the details of her dress, but couldn't pull the full look together. Instead, she completed the outfit with contrasting pops of pink that looked disjointed and uncoordinated.

Lara has made it clear that she loves to embrace a feminine pink, as she was among the worst dressed Trump ladies at the White House while celebrating Easter 2026 in a disappointing pink pantsuit. For the bridal shower, she wore a super-thin pink belt just above the navel to accentuate her waist and soften the darker colors of her dress. Instead, it had the opposite effect. The bright neon pink stuck out like a sore thumb directly on top of the dress material rather than blending in with the rest of the outfit. Her shoes suffered from the same problem, although it's hard to tell how Lara thought the vibrant red pointed heels would pass for a tasteful pink. Even Lara's handbag was an alternate shade of pink. The blush mini purse was intended to be a neutral, but felt out of place among the cooler tones of Lara's ensemble.
