Lara & Eric Trump Have Changed So Much Since First Dating - Before & After Pics Prove It
Lara Trump's transformation gets a lot of attention because of how different she looks compared to a decade ago. But Eric Trump has changed just as much, if not more. The pair started dating in 2008, got engaged in 2013, and tied the knot in 2014. And though 2008 seems like forever ago, it's only natural to expect people to somewhat look like their throwback photos. For Lara and Eric, however, this is not the case.
In one of their earliest pictures taken together at Mar-a-Lago in 2008, Eric looked like the textbook trust fund baby with slicked-back hair and a gummy smile. Lara, on the other hand, didn't seem to understand the basic rules of makeup and was having a major hair crisis. To put it lightly, they were not a pretty sight. At that time, Lara was in culinary school, and Eric had just started out at the Trump Organization, which explains the nepo baby look.
It's clear that time and money have refined both Lara and Eric Trump's appearances. More recent pictures of the couple show that Lara's face has transformed over the years. She's ditched the two-color bleached hair and chooses makeup that leans more tanned and less sunburned. Similarly, Eric has changed a lot. He might not be into makeup or aesthetic augmentations, but he's ditched the gelled hair, erased the gummy smile, and looks a lot less like a silver spoon kid. Unfortunately, he seems to be graying at an alarming rate, but compared to his previous slicked-back hair, it's an upgrade.
Lara and Eric Trump did not have an overnight transformation
It took a while for Lara and Eric Trump to figure out how to clean up nicely, which is shocking, considering how easily they could have hired stylists. In the picture on the left, taken at Ivanka Trump's Fine Jewelry Boutique opening in 2011, the couple had been together for three years and was still having a style crisis.
Lara's makeup aged her and was only marginally better than it was in 2008, and we can only imagine how many bottles of hair gel Eric had run through by this point. By their wedding in 2014, not much had changed on the style front, except that it appears Lara opted for sew-ins to give her hair some much-needed help.
Lara and Eric's image started to shift into what it is today somewhere between 2018 and 2020. For Lara, this meant better makeup, hair, and styling — though the last bit is far from perfect, as you can tell from the photo on the right taken in 2026. And for Eric, it meant losing his baby features and his obsession with slicked-back hairstyles. We suspect that this mutual growth might be why the red flags in Lara and Eric Trump's marriage haven't torn them apart. Considering that they committed to each other at their lowest style points, there must have been something real between them.
