Kelly Osbourne's Stunning Style Evolution From Punk Princess To Refined Fashionista

A few months MTV's hit reality TV series based on her family "The Osbournes" was released, Kelly Osbourne was spotted walking out of a luxury hotel in December 2001.It's a rare photo from her pre-fame days that captures her decades of loyalty to an all-black look while showing signs of her rebellious edge, which she was most known for in the early aughts. Osbourne may look like any other teenager, but the limited edition Louis Vuitton Speedy she highlights her as a rockstar's daughter.

Kelly Osbourne's style was 1000% peak punk princess era in 2003. Whether she wore a polka-dot top styled with pearl earrings and chains on her pants for a fashion show or a casual graphic tee and black jeans look styled with Converse Chuck Taylors for the 2003 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, there was always elements that made it clear she lived to be called rebellious and edgy. This was also the time she began trying all kinds of hairstyles, and her blond mohawk for the Kids' Choice Awards was the boldest one yet. 

By 2006, Kelly Osbourne's punk princess style had began making room for a softer and more retro vibe. While she continued to experiment with her hair, switching from black shaggy cuts to blond bobs with curls, it was obvious she was exploring more glamorous looks. For the 2006 Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Awards, the singer showed up giving serious Marilyn Monroe-esque energy. For the 2011 Grammy Awards, Kelly Osbourne was a co-host for E!'s "Fashion Police" and her style had done a complete 180. Osbourne's personal choices had leveled up and she donned a stunning lilac ruffled silk one-shoulder dress by Tadashi Shoji. This was far from her only fabulous red carpet look. In fact, from the J.Mendel mermaid gown at the Emmy Awards to a form-fitting Tony Ward number for the Oscar Viewing Party, 2011 was full of ravishing designer gown looks for the reality TV star. 

Kelly Osbourne proved her punky princess era never went away and brought it back in 2015. She did, however, add sophistication to it. Instead of reviving her early aught looks that some thought were a bit chaotic, she blended her signature rebel attitude with edgier yet clean designer silhouettes. For Cosmopolitan's birthday party in October, Osbourne showed up in an all-black ensemble. While the black jumpsuit and black heels were fabulous on their own, Osbourne's hairstyle, which was a soft-purple color with one side cleanly shaved, stole the spotlight. 

2018 was the year Kelly Osbourne took her love of monochromatic looks to another level. Whether photographed on the streets or a red carpet event, she proved that she could make dark monochromatic dressing look incredibly fresh. This was especially evident when she was spotted in Manhattan that September in a look that proved she knew how to elevate an everyday streetwear look. The floral pattern shirt, black-and-white loafers, and the red top-handle bag were the perfect accessories to break up all of the black. 

In 2020, Kelly Osbourne gave her signature purple hair the most vibrant update ever. It was clear the royal-purple hair was the centerpiece to her looks for as long as she had the shade. Kelly Osbourne proved you don't have to stop having fun dressing up just because you're pregnant in 2022. The reality TV star attended the Dior Men's Spring/Summer 2023 Collection in May of 2022 just after announcing she was expecting her first child. Being the fashion lover she is, she made pregnancy fashion look cool by styling an oversized men's shirt that functioned as a tunic for her petite stature and with black tailored trousers. The layered silver chain necklace and the beaded box bag added a chic touch to the otherwise minimalist look. 

By 2024, Kelly Osbourne had a complete weight-loss transformation and her style had also undergone a shift. Gone were the days of a rebellious punky princess and in her place stood a luxurious fashion queen with the same punkiness, just a bit refined. For her Chanel-themed 40th birthday bash, the birthday girl showed up in another signature all-black number that included a corset-style off-the-shoulder dress by Vivienne Westwood. The final touch of the pearl necklace elegantly highlighted her bare décolleté, and she looked stunning.
