Paris Hilton's Brunette Hair Transformation Completely Changes Her Look

We're always here for a good hair transformation, and there are many examples of celebrities who went from blond to brunette and looked stunning. In May 2026, Paris Hilton showed off an amazing hair makeover that might go down as one of our favorite transformations. The media mogul and DJ, who we're used to seeing as a bright blond, strutted her stuff on the GucciCore runway in New York sporting dark-brown hair. At the fashion show, Hilton perfectly channeled the Italian sophisticate look that the label is known for. The rich chocolate tresses amplified Hilton's chiseled jawline and made her blue eyes pop. Though Paris Hilton's face has transformed since the early aughts, it's this brown hair that makes her appear truly different. "Wow Paris, that hair makes you look like a completely new person. I honestly didn't even recognize you at first," one fan wrote on Instagram.

Even other celebs, like Rita Ora and Alix Earle, praised Hilton's brunette moment in an Instagram post showing her working the runway in a vibrant yellow dress. The look even had some fans contemplating their own hair transformations. "Wait, I want to go brunette now," one follower wrote. In another post, featuring a video clip from the fashion show's afterparty, queen diva Mariah Carey can be seen admiring Hilton's new hair, and it seems just about everyone was giving the heiress' darker tresses their stamp of approval. 

This isn't Paris Hilton's first hair transformation

Whether you were living your best life in the "Simple Life" era, or just like looking back at pics of the best Y2K outfits Paris Hilton rocked in the 2000s, you'll know that she's always been the quintessential Barbie blond. Her hair was so iconic, that whenever she did something drastic to her tresses, like a big chop, it made headlines. That includes the bixie cut she got in the early 2000s that she later admitted was a mistake. Hilton apparently wasn't paying attention in the salon chair and didn't notice that her waist-length hair had been trimmed up to her ears until it was too late. Even if it wasn't intentional, the short style still became an iconic look for her.

When it comes to hair color, Hilton's 2026 runway transformation wasn't the first time she shocked onlookers by appearing in public with brown hair. One such moment was when she she attended a Hollywood party in 2005 with a Farrah Fawcett-style feathered 'do in chestnut brown. The look was almost certainly a wig, as she was seen with blond hair not long after. She sported brunette locks once more in Toronto in 2006. Because she was seen with blond hair later that day, it was yet again obvious her brown tresses weren't real. It's clear that the entrepreneur is a hair color chameleon and can absolutely pull off both shades.
