One would think the pair was there to make their red-carpet debut with the professional photos they posed for together. But a CNN representative shut down the romance rumors, telling the Daily Beast that the duo "are just friends" and attended the award show "with a group of friends, not just each other."

The heightened attention around Kaitlan Collins attending the Grammys with Emilio Madrid was likely due to how long it had been since the journalist had been romantically linked to someone. Collins' last known relationship was with Will Douglas, with the pair last seen together in October 2021, per the Daily Beast. The pair had since-deleted photos together dating back to 2015, with many assuming they had broken up in 2017, according to South China Morning Post. Nothing has ever been confirmed, as in true Collins fashion, she keeps her love life on lockdown from the public.
