HGTV Star Hilary Farr Had The Ultimate Post-Divorce Transformation

Over the years, we've gotten to see the gorgeous transformation of Hilary Farr as she became an internationally renowned interior designer. Farr rose to prominence as the co-host on the HGTV hit series "Love It or List It" and later the home organization show "Tough Love with Hilary Farr." Interestingly, Farr's rise to television fame occurred right after her 2008 divorce from film writer and producer Gordon Farr. 

The couple were married for 26 years. Prior to this, Farr (then known as Hilary Labow) tried her hand at acting, starring in small roles on "Days of Our Lives," "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and "A Man Called Intrepid." She also had her own design company, Hilary Farr Design Inc, based on Toronto, Canada. Though she was content with her career at the time, the offer for the show proved to be a boon for her future.

"["Love It or List It"] was a godsend because it meant I could pay the lawyers and because it was a diversion, which I needed," Farr explained to Vulture about her divorce. "I had no expectations that it was a show that would go on forever, or become what it did." While Farr has kept most of the details behind her and Gordon's split incredibly private, it's clear that the HGTV star's post-divorce glow-up wasn't just physical (though we do appreciate her chic style and fabulous hair); instead, Farr leveled up her career after her separation, becoming a household name in design and reality tv.

After her 2008 divorce, Hilary Farr jumped straight into the project that would characterize her career and personal brand for the next 15 years: HGTV's "Love It or List It." Co-hosting the show alongside David Visentin, Farr became beloved by fans for her confident, no-nonsense approach and sharp sense of style. During the first seasons of the show, Farr kept her look stylish, yet professional; her dark hair was styled in soft waves, and she often paired casual-leaning tops cardigans with loose-fitting trousers. At the time of writing, Farr has still not remarried, but that doesn't seem to be hindering her confidence in any way. In early 2025, she joined the ranks of the celebrities who proudly show off their gray hair, showcasing her new look to fans on Instagram. In the comments section, fans gushed over the star's new look, praising her confidence. "Hilary, you look gorgeous showing off your gray hair...I love it." wrote one user. "[You're] looking great love how you let you[r] silver style," wrote another.
